The place is filled with awesome antiques acquired by proprietors John and Pam over 30 years. The inn dates back to the 1800's and four U.S. Presidents have stayed here. Located 22 minutes from Saratoga Racetrack and 45 minutes from Lake George, we loved being able to explore the area and return to this quiet inn. Breakfast was delicious and John & Pam were gracious hosts who provided great tips for exploring the area. We were welcomed by John as soon as we arrived. He gave us a tour of the downstairs as well as a brief history of the B&B. The grounds are beautiful right on the river and a quick 20 minute drive to Saratoga. They served a beautiful made to order breakfast before we checked out the following day. We took a chance at a bed and breakfast and pick Oakcliff. Great experience! House is a restored from the 1800's. Lots of history. John and Pam are great hosts, will give you a tour of their home and cook you a made to order breakfast. The host has been working on the home for 30 years, and he is a perfectionist. Every piece of furniture is an antique. (Not a place to take small children.) The home is beautiful and immaculate. I felt like I was staying in a museum as all the furniture and fixtures are period pieces. The breakfast was made to order and several options were given, served on china. We stayed in the first floor bedroom. The sheets were super soft. The bathroom was marble and towels were very soft too.
