Hotel looks pretty. Manager was friendly at check in. Was caught off guard by the forced valet parking at arrival. Valet was coarse. They adjusted my seat to their liking & refused to let me keep my own keys. Room was average in cleanliness. I found hair & toothpaste as soon as I entered the bathroom. Water in sink came in INSTANTLY scalding hot, enough to burn skin. Shower took at least 5 minutes to warm up. I settled for a cold shower & as I was in there the water got so scalding I had to jump out adjust & wait. I should have complained. My second night the room next to me came in at midnight so loud that I felt like we were in the same room. The rooms were supposed to be adjoining. Even the light under the door was coming in the dark through a gap high enough that it made me concerned about privacy. Anyone can easily fit a camera or mirror under that gap into the next room. We put a towel there to block sound. They went on for a hour. The night before a table fire began in Yono’s, as a guest left their fabric napkins on the tiny table that touched the candle. I alerted the waitress as we were waiting to be seated & rushed to assist her as she poured water on it & we moved things away so it wouldn’t spread. The napkins melted. My menu was also scorched/melted, but not from that. The waitress said it happens due to the small tables & open candles as patrons read the menu. I get it’s not technically part of the hotel, but it’s IN the hotel. Fire hazard. Electric candles?
