Playa Blanca #10 is a bright and spacious ocean view studio, located on Akumal's Half Moon Bay. It is just steps from the beach and a few minutes away from the beautiful Yalku Lagoon. Ideal for singles, couples, or a small family of 4, this well-appointed 450 sq. ft. upper floor studio space has airy vaulted ceilings and gets plenty of natural light. It has a small table and chairs, a king-size bed, a single day bed and trundle bed, a cozy living area, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a portable stove top. The space is designed in a Mexican style with tile floors and colorful Talavera tiles in the kitchenette and bathroom. On the sandy beach a few steps away, there are sun loungers and shady thatched palapas for your and your guests’ enjoyment. Cleaning is included at check-in and checkout. For weekly stays, there is also a mid-week cleaning. For monthly rentals, cleaning will be once a week. The town of Akumal is located about halfway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum and just over an hour's drive from Cancun International Airport. There’s not much “hangout” space—no patio or balcony, but the location is amazing and the beach proximity was great. Wish the window that looked out in the ocean had been cleaned. You can easily walk over to the beach in front of the main building, but it feels like you are intruding on the outdoor space right in front of the main building units patio doors more than a common space for the complex. The king bed was so hard that after the first night my wife ended up sleeping in a separate small pullout bed at the other end of the room. Overall this room was more like a kitchenette motel room than a VRBO and a disappointment. Also note that this place does not have a pool. That's easy to miss when booking online as many similar units in the area do have pools. ##### Daryl C. Just steps away from the water, and a nice view from the window. Renting a bike made it easy to get into town and around Akumal.
