"We thoroughly enjoyed the pools, we used 2 of the 3. We ate at all of the restaurants in the resort, and the food was delicious. We stayed in a room with a king size bed and the sofa bed. The sofa bed was not as comfortable. But the king size bed was massive! the balcony was also beautiful. There was a group checking in right before us, so the check in time took a while."

Top Ait Mazigh Hotel Reviews

Borj Des Cascades

Borj Des Cascades

10/10 Excellent
"We booked this hotel because of its proximity to Ouzoud Falls, and the view from our room overlooking the waterfalls was absolutely breathtaking! The room was beautifully decorated, but unfortunately, there was a strong sewage odor coming from the bathroom. Thankfully, the bathroom was separate from the bedroom, so we kept the door closed after each use to minimize the smell. Aside from this issue, we had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We especially loved the hotel's location in the heart of a traditional Berber village. The hotel also offered local tours, and we enjoyed a memorable donkey ride through the mountains and surrounding areas. Despite the bathroom odor, we truly enjoyed our stay. The spectacular views, warm hospitality, and unique cultural experiences made it a memorable visit!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Ait Mazigh?
The best area to stay in Ait Mazigh is generally in the heart of the village itself, particularly around the central square and main thoroughfare.

This area is the focal point of local life and offers the most immediate access to the village's character. You'll find guesthouses and accommodations clustered near the main square, which often features a small market or gathering point. The streets are typically narrow and winding, superb for a leisurely stroll, and you'll often hear the call to prayer from the local mosque.

Couples looking for a quiet retreat will appreciate staying within the village. It provides an authentic experience with opportunities to interact with the local community, enjoy traditional Moroccan hospitality, and explore the surrounding olive groves and orchards at a relaxed pace.
When is the best time to go to Ait Mazigh?
The best time to go to Ait Mazigh is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is most pleasant for exploring the region.

During these months, the daytime temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, making it comfortable for outdoor activities like hiking and visiting local markets. The risk of extreme heat or cold is minimal, allowing for a more enjoyable and stress-free trip.

For travellers interested in outdoor adventures, such as exploring the nearby Atlas Mountains or visiting the Ouzoud Waterfalls, spring and autumn offer ideal conditions. The landscapes are lush after the winter rains or still green from the receding summer, and the natural beauty of the area is at its peak. The cooler mornings and evenings are superb for enjoying traditional Moroccan tea on a terrace.

While Ait Mazigh is accessible year-round, the summer months (June to August) can be very hot, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C, which can make sightseeing less comfortable.
