Im writing this review now cause I can’t let myself be scammed twice by the same individual. First time I booked Solaris apartment was on my birthday. I called and informed that I was gonna check in late and they said it was okay, I got there and waited FOUR HOURS. Cause they couldn’t reach the host. When they finally reach someone, I was told the apartment was removed from Expedia and was asked to pay AGAIN in cash and that I’ll be refunded my money through Expedia. Exhausted, I agreed. It’s been a month and I’ve not been refunded. Mind you, I’ve tried communicating with both the host and Expedia and the host has basically refused to refund me, cause Expedia has been calling him to give the approval for a refund but he has refused to respond. Fast forward to present day. I booked at the Lennox apartment for today. I called the host like I always do to inform them of my arrival and lo and behold it’s the same host. He gave me the same story as the last time, that it’s been removed from Expedia so the listing shouldn’t be showing and I reminded him that this isn’t not our first rodeo and I’ve given this story before, by him and he asked me to take it up with Expedia. I let him know I was gonna leave a bad review on his listing on Expedia. And this is what he texts me “ You might as well not call me for room tomorrow because after your blackmail I am not hosting you. I really enjoyed my stay here in the executive suite. It was well furnished downstairs and upstairs. All appliances and utensils are stocked in the kitchen, plus an iron in the bedroom. There is an AC unit in each bedroom and the living room. The restaurant connected to the hotel serves the best food for breakfast and dinner that I've had in Accra pertaining to my American taste. Minor damages from previous renters but nothing to actually complain about. The staff is very helpful and the manager of the property was very responsive. The cleaning crew came every two days and they were quite efficient. Couch was dirty and stained. The bedrooms mattresses felt worse than a prison bed! I was harassed for one hundred and fifty cedis by the agent for a towel that felt like sandpaper but chewed gum was stuck to the closet and wasn’t cleaned until two days before the end of our stay, despite the numerous complaints to the agent, yuck! There were ants everywhere in both bathrooms, coming out of the drains and all! No outlets in the second bedroom. My facial recognition to gain access into the property stopped working after three days after checking in. When brought to the reception’s attention, instead of asking what apartment was I staying in to check the system, her response was have you extended your stay. Check out day was disappointing! The agent was not available to help with luggage as he did when we checked in. When I called to inquire about help, he responded by saying he was working and sarcastically asked me if I wanted him to stop working to come help. Poor customer service and professionalism! This hotel is overhyped and I personally will never stay here again! Total scam!
