"The Claredon shows its age for sure but that is to be expected... however, it is in a fantastic location location ! It is very basic, but has everything you need. I would not recommend if you have a hard time with stairs as there is no lift. All in all..it was all good. "

"The property was located in a beautiful garden on the edge of the loch. The view from the dining room was spectacular. It was close to all of the things we wanted to see in Glencoe. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel could use a little bit of an upgrade as it is getting dated but it was still charming."

"At breakfast I had a table in the corner next to the window on the front. There were a number of ants on the window ledge. I reported it to reception after breakfast who were very apologetic and concerned and advised that a pest exterminator was coming in the next few days. Otherwise all was good. I had a single room with sea view and bed was a little small (maybe not used to single beds) and whilst the sea view was excellent it was through a rather small window."

"This is a great place located around a mile or so from Strontian, off the beaten track. I had the twin (bunk bed) room in the bunkhouse next to the kitchen. Room was clean, tidy with a separate toilet, shower, sink. The TV and Freesat did not work (no channels) but frankly that didn’t matter as the weekend was about getting away from the Rat Race. Bed was small (but I big), but comfortable. The sound of a babbling brook, the smell of wood smoke and stars in the dark sky at night was enough...
