Wonderfully located & great retreat from the day!

Posted 23-Jun-2015
Pros: location and the large, comfortable room
Cons: The appliances in the kitchenette could stand to be updated.
Location: Fabulous location - provided an opportunity to walk out the door and be close to the Royal Museum, the legislature & ocean front.
The Embassy was an older hotel that has been renovated. The room was close to most of the local attractions and only 1 block from the ocean front but was also a spacious and a wonderful retreat from our busy days of exploring Victoria.

Nice Hotel close to a lot of attractions

Posted 3-Jun-2015
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms and free breakfast, WiFi and parking. Close to shopping, Harbour and interesting sights.
Cons: I think you should get that bar area completed and have some live music on weekends.
Location: Great location. As I said, close to the harbour,China town and lots of shopping and restaurants.
Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Clean room, comfortable bed. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast, which is included in the price of the room, was very good. The hotel is within walking distance to China Town and the wharf, where there is daily entertainment. Lots of restaurants and shopping, again, within walking distance. Beacon Hill is nearby, which is a must to see.

Great Downtown Location

Posted 31-May-2015
We booked a suite for only a few dollars more than a regular room. It had a separate bedroom which is a nice feature if one person wants to read or watch TV and the other wants to sleep. We loved the great location across from the Parliament Buildings. We could walk downtown, along Fisherman's Wharf, and out to the Breakwater. There were a lot of shopping opportunities nearby, as well as several restaurants. Because we were there on a Saturday, we were able to check out the Local Market next door. The staff was helpful and provided some useful information. The included hot breakfast had a lot of variety and was quite tasty.

Loved the pool

Reasonably priced accommodation near downtown, museums and harbour. Breakfast ok. Lower floors louder due to dishwashers and laundry, it seemed--we were on 1st. Loved the pool....could see out to the goings on and sun exposure all day. Comfortable room with kitchenette. Any requests we had were met speedily. Will return.

close to food and inner city.

Its close to the point of interest and food. Parking is convince. Heating system is poor. Room is clean and smoke free. Breakfast is okay. Preferable on higher level and onto the seaview.

Embassy is close to the amenities.

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: It is close to the downtown area.
Cons: It needs thee past personal touch.
Location: The location is good for walking to all points
The Embassy is a good place to stay to get to the area amenities. It seems to be catering to Groups more now and is losing touch with its past patrons who come for a Home away from Home.... The breakfast dining area is more like a cafeteria missing the encounter with the dining staff.

Decent spot for a reasonable price.

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The location is very central and the inclusion of parking, wifi and breakfast made this a very good deal.
Cons: N/A
Location: Centrally located, within walking distance of the downtown core.
We found that the rooms were comfortable and clean. The included parking, wifi, and breakfast made this hotel a very good deal compared to other hotels in the area.
