The Cocktail Bar - Second-storey bar-lounge open late morning to late night for snacks and drinks. Expansive lounge room with high wood-beam-and-tile ceiling, marble floor, highly polished wood bookshelves, yellow and red leather armchairs, potted plants, and balcony with side-canal views through four Byzantine arches. Adjoining bar room with parquet floor and etched frosted-glass windows.
The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but guests receive a 15 percent discount at HK Wine Bar & Restaurant which is owned by the hotel.
Recreation
The Lido, a slender, 11-kilometre-long island facing the Adriatic Sea lies a 15-minute water-bus ride east of historical Venice's centre. In summer it becomes the city's playground, when beaches and water sports draw visitors and Venetians alike. Year-round, visitors rent bicycles to explore the island, take horseback rides, and play golf, tennis, and volleyball. Deep-sea fishing is available in the Adriatic Sea.

“Wish I could have stayed longer”
We went to Venice for a wedding and this hotel was great. My room was a nice size and well appointed. My daughter's suite was magnificent. The perfect honeymoon suite with Venitian character. The hotel is nicely located close to major attractions and easy to find from anywhere in Venice. The personable and friendly staff made us feel as if we were special guests or visiting family. The breakfast buffet was extensive and well staffed. Overall the hotel exceeded my expectations.
“Really Good Location”
Really easy to find, in a side street off St Mark's Square. Breakfast was filling (includes bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs if you want), served 7.30 to 11. Staff friendly. Beds very comfortable, aircon was great (and necessary in July). Only downside was the bathroom - no bath, and the shower head had a will of its own. Plenty of water, but individual hot/cold taps.
“Extremely Impressed”
Enjoyed first class service right from our arrival. All the staff were friendly and efficient and gave the impression, that nothing was too much trouble The location is perfect for viewing Venice [Our room had windows looking over the canal towards the Bridge of Sighs and the St Marco waterfront, perhaps 250 mtres, away.] The breakfasts were excelant and we enjoyed them sitting on the small terrace alfresco, which if you enjoy a cigarette with your breakfast coffee is sublime.We would have no problem re-visiting this hotel and have already recommended it to some friends.Bellisimo !!
“Would go back in a heartbeat & recommend to others”
Wow...we arrived just steps to the hotel by private vaporetto(water taxi)contrary to other reviews i have read, we found our room size just perfect, great amenities, very close to St. Mark Square & close to dozens of great restaurants. Friendly staff & breakfast included. This hotel was great value for the money & to stay in a 15th century palace was the added bonus. We will go back!

“Fantastic hotel for a break in Venice”
Dona Palace Hotel is a great small hotel in Venice. The staff are all very helpful (arranging the re-confirmation of our return flight for us) and the location is very convienient being on a side street close to San Marco Square. The room we occupied was a suite with flat screen TVs, and many amenities: 24-hour front desk English-speaking staff. The hotel was maintained to a very high standard and everything was spotless. On check in we were given vouchers for complementary bellini cocktails. The view from the windows was fantastic , overlooking a small canal with a view of the bridge of sighs. The hotel is very quiet and has a lovely terrace for enjoying drinks outside watching the gondolas go past. Breakfast was very good, an american style buffet. Overall an excellent choice for a short break in Venice.
“nice hotel”
We stayed for two days and i love this hotel perfect location very clean and friendly staff. what impressed me is the courtyard i can seat there all day and watch the gondolas passed by. 101% i will recommend this hotel.
“Convenient and Comfortable”
Our standard room on the 3rd floor was excellent. King size bed, room tastefully furnished, super bathroom - the place looked like it had just been refurbished. We were really comfortable here. Breakfast buffet was OK - staff was great and looked after us very well. Front desk staff gave us recommendations for dinner, but we managed to get lost in the alleyways and found good restaurants by ourselves.
“Fabulous”
We wanted to stay in a smaller hotel off the busy canal. This place was a treasure. The lobby was quite small but our room was wonderful. We did get a suite and it was huge. Nice bathroom, lovely view. We were right down the hall from the breakfast-meeting room which was beautiful. The walls were 12 inches thick. You couldn't hear anything. We splurged on the suite and didn't regret it at all. We didn't get a chance to see the standard room but we heard they were quite a bit smaller. Also, we had a breakfast buffet which was included in our stay. Perfect. It was great. and about a 1 minute walk from San Marco so we could always find our way home...
