“Location, Location!”
Hotel is very close to train station. Note; only foot traffic is allowed in the streets of Venice. Compare to others that had to walk and search for their hotel with their suitcases. Also very impressed with the hotel room and service.
“Getting ready to book for next year”
Just (4th May) returned from Venice. This hotel was fantastic in a superb location. If you book this hotel then upgrade to a mini suite, our balcony was lovely, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting out watching life go by on the canal below us. Our room was decorated in typical Venetian style with a four poster bed and everything was very clean. Don't forget this is a small hotel, so no bar or restaurant, however find time to visit trhe friendly bar right next door and the wonderful restaurant Tres Arches just a few feet away. The location is also just far enough off the tourist area to be quite tranquil all day and especially at night. We've already decided to book the same place for next year.
“We Loved This Place!”
This place was lovely! We went with one of the budget rooms, so it wasn't the most luxurious in the place, but it was still very lovely. There was a shared living area between our room and another with a couch, table and chairs and a little kitchenette. Our room was very well appointed. The bed was a bit on the firm side, but I like that. The furniture was very nice. We had an adjoining "dressing room" which was very handy for storing our luggage. The bathroom was small by US standards, but very attractive. We had plenty of hot water, but we take short showers. Our rooms were on the ground floor on the side of the building, and not near the canal. While the room was well lit, the windows weren't too usable. The ones in the bedroom opened onto a well used alleyway, and the bar at the end of the alleyway wasn't quiet. We didn't have any trouble, but if you are early to bed, this room might not work well for you. We felt these were minor issues compared to the overall quality of the room and the pleasant stay. We enjoyed our breakfasts here very much. You had access to: coffee, fruit juice, yogurt, toast, cereal, rolls, fresh fruit, and usually some other goody. We both had plenty to eat and were quite satisfied. The breakfast room is a bit small, so you may have to wait for a table to open up, but a quick staff resets them. It's in a nice location, not far from the train station and vaperetto stops. The orange airport line leaves from across the canal. We highly recommend it.
“Extremely helpful staff”
The staff at the Palazzo Cendon was very friendly and helpful, especially the night manager. When our water taxi dropped us off at the wrong place at 10:30 at night, a call to the hotel resulted in step by step instructions and a cheerful greeting when we finally arrived.
“Great Location”
We really enjoyed this hotel. The area was not far off the beaten path and a fairly quiet area but still convenient. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was well appointed and maintained.
“Great place to stay”
Was warned about the difficulty of finding the place so looked out a pic of the front to recognise it - no probs. Well positioned for the waterbuses - 2 stops on the No 2 to Rialto and a 5min walk from St Marculo. 5mins walk from railway and 10 from bus and car taxi drop-off in p.Roma. In summer months the airport express (orange line) stops at Ponte Guilie (100 yards down the canal) the same stop also serves Murano, and although a longer route than the numbers 1 and 2, St Marks. Staff were lovely - front of house very helpful and maids welcoming and cheerful. Room was very comfortable - bed was 2 singles bolted together to form 6ft wide bed. Pillows were rather flat, but folding them in half worked well. Thermostat in room for adjusting the heating and nice cold fridge. Great bathroom. Decor was lovely. Shutters made room nice and dark for sleep. Absolutely no noise from the other rooms - and the hotel was full. Breakfast great: rolls fresh each day from the bakers. Filter or espresso coffee with hot milk, tea and hot chocolate. Fruit and plain croissants, yoghurts, cheese, ham and Parma ham, all sorts of jams and cakes. There are now 2 breakfast rooms and the reception staff stagger the sittings, so the problems I read about the breakfast being cramped seem to have been resolved. All in all - cosy and welcoming and well placed away from the crowds but only a short walk from busy street life. I was sorry to leave - and would certainly stay here if I went back to Venice.
“Very impressed”
The Palazzo Cendon is situated in an interesting but quiet spot on the Canal Cannaregio with its little bars and restaurants only a few yards away. The hotel is excellent and we would recommend it. It was a very good base from which to explore Venice. We enjoyed every minute.
“nous le recommandons”
hotel bien situé, un peu retirer des touristes mais pas trop, personnel très agréable, parle le francais, chambre et petit déjeuner très bien

“Lovely friendly hotel”
The hotel and room looked newly decorated and were lovely and bright and clean. the staff were very friendly and helpful and all spoke english and were more than happy to phone a restaurant to reserve a table for us. the breakfast was nice. would definitely recommend to friends. it's easy walking distance to the bus and train station and ferrovia vaporetto stop (if you dont have heavy bags).
