Close to Granville Island Market.

Posted 16-Apr-2015
Pros: Friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, good restaurant.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Granville Island is a joy. The market is a feast for the eyes and Vancouver's fringe have opened shops which are fun to explore. Lots to do.
For a visit to Vancouver you cannot do better than stay at this hotel. Walkways, market, coffee bistros, shopping.

Great hotel with three minuses....

Posted 6-Apr-2015
Pros: Cosy, friendly, nice location
Cons: Mattress, guest parking.....dunno what you can do about room facing...
Location: Good touristy location, lots to see, do and eat, close to other parts of Vancouver as well
Great location, excellent staff, clean room...only thing about the room was the king mattress was uncomfortable - somewhat lumpy, high in the middle but sloping towards the sides. One other minus was the parking, we never did get to use the blue hotel parking on both nights and had to come down before 10 on both mornings to move it, the first morning (Sat) to another 3-hour spot (risky) and the second morning (Sun) there was actually a hotel reserved spot to move to, but we checked out and left shortly after..... The other minor thing was our room faced the back where staff gathered to smoke and we had a view of garbage carts and recycling carts right below us and were awakened by the trundling of the wheels on both mornings. Unfortunately the mattress, parking and view and sounds from our window drop my overall rating of your hotel from 4.5 down to 3.5 maximum! Room for improvement.....? One other concern I had was, one family had two large dogs I saw them walking, which they obviously left in their room when they went out for the day after that.....I'm not sure I like the idea that my room might have had poo and pee or pet dander and possible flea issues from previous guests' pets in my room???

Great hotel on Granville Island

Posted 31-Mar-2015
Pros: Good food, nice rooms
Location: Granville Island and hte market are great for shopping. Theatres are just a block away
If you are going to the theatre or want to hang around Granville Island this is the place to stay. Clean, spacious rooms. Good food with a great view. Quiet and relaxing. A little remote if you want to see Vancouver and don't have a car but you could use the great water taxi service close by.

Pleasant hotel but parking may be an issue

Posted 24-Mar-2015
Pros: The location is good for anyone who wants to be on Granville Island. The room was very clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: My room was clean and nicely decorated, but the shower was clearly dated. It didn't fit the rest of the decor and the water pressure was a bit weak.
I stayed at this hotel on a weekend night in late March. Check-in was quick. However, despite the fact that the hotel advertises in and out parking for an additional charge, no parking spots were available when I checked in at 3:00 PM. I was told "Things are pretty tight right now". Fortunately, I was able to find a parking spot nearby, but the hotel needs to either change it's advertising or make ample guest parking available.

Room 201 is directly beside the elevator with the bed towards the adjacent wall. Not great for undisturbed sleeping

Well situated in a secure and intersting position

Posted 10-Feb-2015
Pros: The hotel is very well situated with good access to downtown without the problems of a hotel within the city.
Cons: The free TV channels could be improved.
Location: Everything is within short walking distance, shops, restaraunts, market, micro breweriesbuses, water taxi etc. Granville Island is vey safe and secure
Situated on Granville Island with short walks to the market shops restaraunts and take aways. The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful and rooms are large enough so you do not feel claustrophobic. There are regular busses and water taxi's to downtown.

Excellent stay, great location for first timer

Posted 4-Feb-2015
Pros: The view was beautiful- and as a single female traveler I felt very safe in the area. Wonderful art galleries and harborside area.
Location: Granville Island is just 10 min. from the busy downtown area and is a art center with lots of art galleries.
Stayed here on a business trip, and did not want to stay in the busy downtown area. This was a perfect choice- I could not have been more pleased. Easy to get around for a newbie to the area, and beautiful surroundings. Room was clean, view was perfect and staff was very helpful. The adjoining Dockside restaurant was very good and the staff there was very pleasant. I highly recommend.

We stayed mid week. Everything was good. It was a little disappointing that the Dockside was closed.
