Well situated in a secure and intersting position

Posted 10-Feb-2015
Pros: The hotel is very well situated with good access to downtown without the problems of a hotel within the city.
Cons: The free TV channels could be improved.
Location: Everything is within short walking distance, shops, restaraunts, market, micro breweriesbuses, water taxi etc. Granville Island is vey safe and secure
Situated on Granville Island with short walks to the market shops restaraunts and take aways. The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful and rooms are large enough so you do not feel claustrophobic. There are regular busses and water taxi's to downtown.

Location: Shops and restaurants on the island. Island market also stocked with many eateries. Easy access to water taxi. 20 minute walk to Gastown.
Used as our base to visit Vancouver. Great location for exploring Vancouver. Loved the room. Very large, comfy bed.

Excellent stay, great location for first timer

Posted 4-Feb-2015
Pros: The view was beautiful- and as a single female traveler I felt very safe in the area. Wonderful art galleries and harborside area.
Location: Granville Island is just 10 min. from the busy downtown area and is a art center with lots of art galleries.
Stayed here on a business trip, and did not want to stay in the busy downtown area. This was a perfect choice- I could not have been more pleased. Easy to get around for a newbie to the area, and beautiful surroundings. Room was clean, view was perfect and staff was very helpful. The adjoining Dockside restaurant was very good and the staff there was very pleasant. I highly recommend.

We stayed mid week. Everything was good. It was a little disappointing that the Dockside was closed.

Not as nice as expected

Posted 2-Feb-2015
Pros: Quiet and location.
Location: Location is great, lots of shops, restaurants nearby and everything else by taxi or walk for other areas nearby.
The room we got was on the third floor. The floor was ALL TILE!! not just the bathroom but the entire room. It was colder, noisier and just didn't feel as fancy. The tile grout was also dirty in between, assume it has been there a long time. Also, the room was very small and balcony was tiny. The room looks over furnished for it's size. It was quiet and the staff were nice but likely won't be back due to the flooring and size of room. Also, parking is a pain, and the bar was closed before midnight on a Saturday!

Fun weekend.

Pleasant hotel in a great location. We slept here but didn't use any other facilities with all the options of Granville Island market, shops and restaurants at our doorstep. Just parked the car and enjoyed it all.

Great hotel on awesome Granville Island

Posted 16-Jan-2015
Pros: Loved the location and the comfort!
Cons: Seating outside at the entrance would have been nice to have while we were waiting for our ride.
Location: So much shopping, restaurants, paths to walk, views to marvel at!
This is a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. The services are all top-notch. We had a lovely, comfortable room with a fantastic view of False Creek. The proximity to all the shops, the market and the sea bus stop made this the perfect place to stay for us. The Dockside restaurant, with its absolutely delicious food and gorgeous view is unbeatable. We can't wait to return.
