Terrible time to get out, when busy which is most of the time.

Great location. Clean, comfortable room.Posted 24-Aug-2014
Cons: Restaurant food
Location: Granville Island. Easy access to Vancouver.
Everything except the restaurant food was above average. Decently priced rooms. Clean and comfortable beds. Only negative was the very average food. Patio is fantastic.....for drinks.

Nice hotel close to the center of the isle.Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: the style and character of beeing welcomed.
Cons: I don't know.
Location: we visited the Market. We walked through Vancouver, looked for especial museums, (which all were shut!) , visited the "Look Out" and enjoyed.....
We have had one night only with 2 grandchildren. We have not used all facilities we could have; but what we saw and met was nice and comfortable.

Great hotel, great location.Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Good design, clean, quiet, great location.
Location: A real variety of places to eat, interesting shops, a lovely market, literally on your doorstep! Whale watching excursion starts 5 minutes walk away.
Stayed here for 2 nights, with our 2 teenage daughters after a long transatlantic flight. Our room was quiet, very clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic view of the water. It was in an excellent position for us as we didn't want to be travelling far. The staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgable.

To smallPosted 16-Aug-2014
Our room was very small ! Balcony so small that only one person might be able to climb over furniture . Whose idea was it to place the toilet directly under the sink? Last but not least no place for luggage or parking. I will not be staying there again!

it was okPosted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: the boat dock, the calm chowder soup
Cons: the parking, the price. the beds
Location: shopping, but very dirty, shops where only for the rich
the beds where to high and hard, the resturant was very expensive, the room was not much to write home about for the price you pay to stay. the boat dock was beautiful. the room that the wedding was in was so hot you could not stand it. some of the food was cold. overall would not stay again

Fantastic LocationPosted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: See above
Cons: We really couldn't find anything to complain about except that we would prefer a fridge rather than a mini bar in the room.
Location: The location is fantastic - so much to do: the market, theaters, galleries, shopping and restaurants.
We have been celebrating our wedding anniversary at the wonderful Dockside Restaurant at the Granville Hotel for the past couple of years. We decided to enhance the experience by staying overnight at the hotel. It did not disappoint. The staff at check in were extremely courteous and helpful. The room was impeccable and very quiet.

Location, location, location!Posted 4-Aug-2014
Pros: The rooms are updated and clean, and the patio over-looking the harbour was lovely. At night it was so quiet, you could leave your patio door open.
Cons: The rooms are on the small side, and the exercise room could use some free weights - small complaints at best!
Location: Love food? Eat at the market or one of the many fine restaurants nearby. Love to walk or ride bikes? Hit the sea wall for both. The list goes on.
We stayed at the Grandville Island Hotel for 4 nights, and we are ready to book next year. Once we arrived, we parked our vehicle in a reserved spot and did not move it for the length of our stay. The most glorious aspect of this hotel is its proximity to...everything!

great view of downtown VancouverPosted 3-Aug-2014
Pros: Dockside restaurant was great, they just kept trying to put me at bad table even if I asked for another, waterfall shower was wonderful, very clean,
Cons: maybe seating people in good locations
Location: location was good, was only there for one night and that is more than enough to see Granville Island, but walking distance to Vancouver
bed was okay, shower and bathroom were great, very narrow room, wonderful staff, restaurant was great, one hostess refused to move me to another table because she said they were booked but no one ever sat there the entire time I was there, the breakfast table they tried to put us at was not great and asked to move, which they did, and it was never busy enough to figure out why they tried to seat us at non desirable table, maybe because I was with younger son? no idea. Staff was great, just not the people seating me.
