Excellent hotel in the heart of Granville Island

Posted 19-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: I can't say. Restaurant looked nice, but we were out and about all of the time.
Location: There are some great restaurants so close on Granville. We also went to the theater for a play one night. It was within blocks of the hotel.
We have stayed at this hotel twice. It seemed to have been upgraded a lot since our last visit a few years ago. The front desk was always helpful, the room was nice with a view, and the location was perfect for us. We didn't eat at the hotel as so much to see and do in Granville and the walk so easy to our favorite places or to the Market for specialty morning coffee and goodies. Our departure from the airport to the hotel was so quick and easy. We just got a cab at the airport. We were in our room by ten-thirty in the morning as room was ready. Then we were out the door to explore. Hotel got us a cab to go to the cruise port, and all was on schedule. We had a wonderful three day stay!

Awesome location

Hotel very nice, staff friendly, room nice except had a very small window with almost no view. Couldn't turn the AC below 20 Celsius. Lounge and patio had excellent food and view. No parking available on the first night.

A fun hotel that has gone upscale - poor results.

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: Location - at centre of very lively area.
Cons: Do more to encourage people to relax and enjoy there.
Location: Famous loaction - Granville Island - packed with people - impressive markets.
The first nighht there we went to go into the lounge but was told it closed at 10:00 on week-nights. Only had one meal there - a breakfast, as was very expensive so ate elsewhere (4 days). Staff was friendly but atmosphere was vert staid.

Super convenient to all the great Granville Island attractions. The restaurant is very good. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and spacious.

Nice hotel located on Granville Island.

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Good location, pet friendly.
Cons: There is insufficient parking at the hotel.
Location: Five minute walk to Granville Island Market. The rooftop patio at the Sand Bar is a great place for sea food. The Aquabus service is also very handy.
Great location with lots to do within walking or cycling distance.

Nice hotel central location

Room had two double beds rather than 1 kingsize bed as stated on our booking! As they didn't have any more left!
