Extremely scared staying one night out of the planned 3 nights here after given a ground floor room and was not able to sleep all night with the family which included young children. There was mould on the floor and wall tiles and the shower was not working properly. They were unable to provide another room and have not been reachable for over two weeks to provide me with a refund. It was extremely stressful situation and photos and reviews read prior did not reflect what was expected. I would never stay here again and disappointed with how the hotel handled this. Ruined trip.

Bed was a little hard for me and the paper thin walls made an earlier than wanted with a lady in heels on the floor above. Nice walk to the city center. Breakfast was very good.

Great budget hotel
Staff was friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. Good location for walking through town. Uphill from the train station, but everything is uphill in Siena.

Disappointed. Minimal Housekeeping, missed one day. Refrigerator door falling off, reported twice, never repaired in 5 days. No English channels for news or entertainment. Reserved parking was appreciated. Incorrect directions and hours of service to self laundry and other locations.

Clean comfortable hotel
The hotel and room were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a parking garage for $20 a night but was worth it since parking in Siena can be tricky. Located on the edge of the city but everything is very walkable. Would consider staying here again if our travels take us back to Siena.

Hotel Minerva is a great place to stay in Siena!. It's convenient to the train station (walkable with about 15 mins.) and about 10 minutes' walk to the historic core of the town which has lots of great dining options, shops and historic properties to visit. The hotel is super-clean, with friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful buffet breakfast (included). We would definitely recommend!

Good location..nice hotel.. Room 210 was great with a huge garden terrasse and fantastic view...breakfast room was very noisy and food mediocre..too many patries. The female reception staff were very friendly and helpful.but the male staff were NOT.

The bed was terrible. And there wasnt near enough seating in the breakfast area. The entire serving time of breakfast, there were no empty seats. The girl at the coffee counter was pleasant.

A City in Italy You Won’t Want To Miss
Hotel Minera was a very pleasant surprise. The front desk staff were very helpful, sharing suggestions on restaurants and directions to IL Campo. The city is on a hill so expect that your walk will include streets up hill and down hill.

The hotel is very clean and felt very safe. The breakfast was excellent, a good value! The area is close to many things, but just outside a busy area so it's quiet. The room was fine, but we didn't spend a lot of time in it.

Rooms are in need of updating. Rooms are old and plain. Pillows are hard as a rock. Low water pressure for shower. Rooms are clean but there is a little mildew smell. AC was great. Way over priced for the weekend of the Palio.

It was fabulous! Everything was great. I will stay there again. Just note, there is no elevator which wad fine for usbbut if you have issues you may think twice. We lovef it there. The host was very informative and very nice.

The room was small but we got a small lanai so that helped. Sat on the bed to read. The bathroom is small and would be tough for large people. The A/C is very quiet. Wish they would use these in the US. It was a great place for us because there were restaurants nearby and we like to walk so it was good to be able to walk the city from the hotel. We even walked back to the train station using the escalators down. The breakfast was continental. Not very good for me because I don’t eat bread and not good for my husband because he doesn’t eat hard boiled eggs or cereal. But we made do.

Hotel was ok, abit dated, walls in hotel very thin. Definitely in need to update decor. Breakfast wasn’t the best, not much to choose from and quality of breakfast food was ok. Location was great though and hotel was clean. A very basic hotel in a really good area.

Hotel was ok but very different from the pictures. Area wasn’t the best but it is only a short walk to a nicer part of town. We only booked so we would have somewhere to park our car but wouldn’t stay here again.

Reasonable accommodations - very good breakfast included - no luggage assistance provided - close walking distance to main attractions which is what we wanted - beds and pillows hard for our taste. Overall a pleasant stay.

Lovely spacious room. Could use a teakettle though. Beautiful view from our window. Very good location. We could walk into the historical part of the city in 5-10 minutes. The local bus stop was a matter of a one minute walk away from the hotel doors as well. The breakfast was excellent. Perhaps the only negative comment I could make is that the breakfast staff seemed neither relaxed nor happy, though they were polite. I’m not sure of the reason for this but it might be something that the hotel should explore.

Efficient check in. Room is clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Hotel is easy to reach by foot from bus/train station and is also in the historical/central part of the city therefore very convenient for site-seeing. Breakfast is very good.

I had a great stay at this property, it was very quiet. The front desk people were not that helpful with questions, the restaurant servers NOT friendly or helpful at all. The breakfast was just cold. The hotel is about 10 min walking from the the Main Street in the old town and 15-20 min straight walk to train station.
