“Outstanding location, comfort and service”

We went to Florence to celebrate my wife's birthday. She was extremely pleased with the trip in general and the hotel in particular. The hotel is very conveniently located for the main sights in Florence but car access is very complicated, even with a navigation system. It would be helpful if the website provided a detailed map for vehicle access. The hotel is brand new and generally in very good condition and both the room and common areas were very comfortable. The bathroom was extremely well equipped with plenty of towels and bath materials. Best features were the very powerful overhead shower and aset of very sophisticated weighing scales. Service attitude was outstanding especially at the front desk. The front desk staff noticed from from the passport that it was my wife's birthday and made a special room delivery of champagne and exotic fruit to help us celebrate. They also made an excellent restaurant recommendation. The porters, breakfast staff and bar staff were similarly friendly and attentive. Breakfasts were sumptuous with prompt and excellent service. Two minor niggles: - the plugs in the both the bathroom basins failed to close properly and despite requests to the staff this issue was not addressed during our three day stay. - the wellness are is quite remote from the bedrooms and requires the use two elevators and a short walk through public areas in beetween. Overall our stay at the Golden Tower Hotel was an outstanding experience. Highly recommended.

“Found Gold in Florence!”

We stayed four nights at The Golden Tower. It was so luxurious that I felt a bit guilty about it at first, but I soon got over that. We had requested a standard double room and at check-in were asked if we would be willing to take a larger room with two single beds. We agreed and our room was very spacious with two very comfortable full-sized (not twin) beds. The bathroom was huge. The room temperature was a little too warm, but opening the window solved that.The spa is complimentary and has a large whirlpool with colored lights and a waterfall, a dry sauna, and a steam room. What a treat after a day of sightseeing! A breakfast buffet was included in a charming dining room. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. The front desk was staffed by charming young people who spoke excellent English and were eager to help with map directions, dinner reservations, and a day trip to Tuscany. They were also patient and encouraging with my attempts to speak Italian. The hotel is in a near perfect location; you can walk to all of the major sights in five to fifteen minutes. Car access could be a problem, as there was usually a chain blocking cars from entering the plaza that borders the hotel. I would suggest calling the desk and having them direct you or your taxi driver. The Golden Tower is a great value. Thank you Expedia!

“Quel luxe !!!”

Hôtel situé en plein coeur de Florence, à 5 minutes à pied de tout !!! Le personnel est très aimable, toujours souriant, et ils parlent assez bien le français pour la plupart, ce qui est appréciable à l'étranger (en particulier Marco à l'accueil...). Très beau spa avec un hammam avec des lumières "led" qui changent de couleur de temps en temps. Vu sur le sauna et vice-versa... Piscine intérieure un peu petite, mais après la journée passée à arpenter la ville, c'était tout de même très agréable (spa ouvert de 9h à 21h, donc prévoir de rentrer à temps le soir !!!). Chambre d'un luxe absolu qui correspondait à la prestation encore mieux que nos espérances (pourtant, nous avons la chance d'avoir fréquenté plusieurs 5 étoiles...). Petit hall d'accueil avec un canapé, un magnifique coussin et une télé plasma. Une salle d'eau au RDC avec WC et un escalier menant à la chambre sous les belles poutres du plafond. Seconde télé plasma avec 36000 chaines, dont 5 en français. Seconde salle d'eau à l'étage avec nouveau WC. Fantastique !!! Cerise sur le gâteau, une assiette de petits gâteaux florentins nous attendait le soir dans notre chambre, avec des fraises et des groseilles................... Très romantique, sans tomber dans le kitch. Un régal !!!

“Can't wait to go back!”

This is a lovely small hotel right in the center of everything. no more than 20 minute walk in any direction to absolutely everything I wanted to see in Florence. The staff was exceptional and helpful - and seemed to know me after my first night in the hotel. The double room was just that - a double bed - not two double beds. This is typical for European hotels so it was just as I expected. The room was luxurious with a large marble bathroom just as in the photos. The breakfast was a fine European buffet with just enough of everything to choose from and freshly made coffee. Internet service in the lobby was perfect if you don't have a laptop in your room.

“Excellent”

The Golden Tower is an excellent hotel in a superb location, all the major sights are close by yet it is located in a quiet street, a lovely retreat from the crowds. Room was very comfortable and well appointed, excellent breakfast, better than in many European hotels. The front desk staff were particularly impressive, happy to recommend and book restaurants, very helpful and polite. Couldn't fault this for a short break in Florence, the deluxe rooms and suites look great but regular rooms also very nice. Use of the spa an expensive extra so we didn't bother, too much to do in the city anyway. Would certainly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

“Golden Tower Hotel à Florence”

Hôtel extrêmement bien situé au cœur historique de Florence à coté du Palais Strozzi, proche de toutes les adresses à visiter et des rues animées du centre. Notre séjour de 4 nuits s'est révélé un excellent choix. L'hôtel est situé dans une rue très calme. La chambre était grande et très joliment aménagée. La salle de bains était une pure merveille en particulier. Le personnel était attentif et disponible. Le petit déjeuner était très agréable dans une ambiance très relaxante. Bref, c'est une excellente adresse avec un rapport prix particulièrement bon et un choix judicieux pour un séjour en amoureux. Je le recommande chaudement.

“Excellent HOTEL très bien situé”

Cet hotel est très confortable, le seul problème rencontré est un chaufage défaillant dans notre chambre (trop Chaud), mais très vite solutionné par le personnel (Changement de chambre en plus supérieure). Sinon hotel super bien placé et très propre personnel très compétent. ATTENTION ne pas prendre l'appéritif au bar de l'hotel deux Martini = 24 euros

“Golden Hotel and Golden bites”

This hotel is fantastic, great service, small friendly feel. Due to some quirky Italian law or hotel rule the aircon wasn't switched on and we couldn't get it switched by reception, it was though after 2nd night. Reception did get us a fan for first night. Still not sure if that was a real law or a cost saving rule We slept with windows open and got more bites 10 plus each than we thought possible. You will not be disapointed, but moral of story is, don't sleep with window open in a very warm April
