“Plucked out of London!”
While the lobby wasn't as "shiny" as the Expedia picture indicated it was very appropriate to the hotel. My immediate impression was "plucked out of London" and I am serious when I report that not one voice (barring the staff) was other than British. Apparently many British tours book there and it made for a delightful background experience. Breakfast buffet excellent (if a little expensive, but I looked at the convenience on a busy day) Greenhouse restaurant pretty but I didn't eat there. One peculiar item... the ice machine is on the lobby level, so don't don night clothes before obtaining ice! Neighborhood safe and busy at night. Bedroom window opens and great city view. Only one night was there any noise problem and that was the garbage truck. Very convenient to the fabulous public transportation system. Around the corner from the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. I have already recommended to others and will stay there again.
“Good Place to stay in San Francisco”
It's a nice hotel, and is in a good spot. Service is Good and the restaurant is great.
“Another good time.”
This is our second visit to the Wyndham Canterbury. This trip was a short family vacation. Our 9 yr and 6 yr gave this place a 10. They liked the kitchenette. They were able to have breakfast when they wanted. We had a short walk to the Trolley and could catch the Muni easily. They felt safe walking in the evening. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We will definitely return.
“This hotel should never get a bad rap....”
I stayed 2 nights....found the hotel staff to be extremely professional and accomodating. This is a comfortable bed & breakfast with character, disguised as a hotel. Great location, only a few blocks off of Powell Street. Shopping and dining options are plentiful. Don't expect major chain amenities....but for the price and location, this is a safe choice. The popcorn they make nightly in the bar is an enjoyable treat.
“hotel Wyndham Canterbury à San fracisco: idéal en plein centre”
nous avons séjourné 2j à 2 adultes et 2 ados. l'hotel est très bien situé à 2 rues de la station powel près des restaurants et de l'animation. très pratique pour tout à SFO. notre chambre comportait un espace cuisine tout et très bien équipé avec un espace salon et une chambre séparée et une grande salle de bainle tout d'un très bon standing et pas de bruit . A l’accueil en plus il y avait 2 personnes chargées de répondre à toute les questions concernant les activités et les visites à faire. un groom à l'entrée pour gérer les stationnements, bagages et taxis. la qualité de l'ensemble était au rendez vous. vraiment très bien !
“Don't understand "Review Title".”
Only one OLD ice machine for the hotel. Located off lobby. Very inconvient if you were on an upper floor. Location to shopping, Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf excellent.
“cozy with view”
good location, very attractive cozy room, although the bath was very small. We had a fabulous view for an amazing low price.
“Canterbury”
The service was good, the room moderately appointed and clean. The housekeeping service was fine. The bath stool did not have enough room between the stool and the tub which makes it difficult for tall people.

Hotel was very dated without being charming. Rooms were small and bland.
“good location”
Good location,close to Union Square, bus stop outside of the hotel. Our room was shabby: holes in bedspread, dirty upholstery on the furniture, dirty glassware, small bathroom.
