“Euro style in perfect location”
Amazing service, everyone went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Don't miss the wine hour with owner Wayne - he has great restaurant reccomendations! Cute place in perfect location! I can't wait to return!
“Excellent Union Square hotel”
Inn at Union Square was a surprise. Excellent, central location, clean, charming. Nice continental breakfast available in a sitting area by the elevator on floors 3 & 5. And, at 5 p.m., wine, cheese, crackers, nuts, etc are available at the same two places. Several times, either on my way in at the end of the day, or on my way out to dinner, I sat with a few other hotel guests chatting. Very nice, like the best aspect of a B&B, while still being a full-service boutique hotel. My only minor complaint was problems with the wireless, although the hotel staff acted on it quickly and did everything they could to help me solve the problems. All this, & it was very, surprisingly, affordable.
“Best SFO hotel”
Very friendly people. I never write a review but their service level was so great and personal that I am forced to wrote about them. I will stay with them whenever I will go to SFO
“Wonderful Boutique Find”
Hotel staff, from front desk welcome to housekeeping, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Feels more like bed and breakfast than hotel since there are areas located on alternating floors for breakfast and wine and cheese in afternoon. Great way to meet and chat with other guests. Rooms were cozy, comfortable and very clean. Location, just a few steps from Union Square, was very convient to shopping and all modes of transportation and rental cars. GREAT boutique hotel - only drawback - no views. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a B & B experience in the middle of town.
“A little gem...”
The Inn at Union Square is a little gem located right near the Union Square, shopping district, and public transport. All the staff are warm and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They are happy to adfvise you on what to see and do or look up any information you may need for transport or that special meal. Our room was extremely comfortable, tv, free wifi, complimentary water and chocolates, & Aveda bathroom products. The queen bed was a little small & the size of the room smaller than your average hotel room but this is San Francisco. All rooms are compact due to the nature of the cities architecture. The decor was truely gorgeous, very tudor in style, and gave you the feeling of grandure. The business centre was on level 2 with a pc, printer and tourist information. Breakfast was served each morning on levels 3 & 5. A full spread, fruit, bagels, toast, cereal, eggs, pastries, coffee and juice. You can eat either at the table on each level by the fireplace, or take it back to your room on the trays provided. Every night there also was free wine and cheese nights, a wonderful way to share your experienes with fellow guests. Overall a great place to stay, good location, exceptional value for money , & most importantly staffed by a caring group of people. We would stay there again, without a doubt !
“Hôtel très agréable”
Ambiance conviviale, personnel de l'hôtel compétent, très bien situé, calme. Le petit déjeuner et la dégustation de vin sont très appréciable. Rien à redire sur cet hôtel.
“Great stay”
My Partner and I spent a week at the Inn at Union Square in April. We paid a little extra for a King room and it was definitely worth it. We had a huge bed as well as a good sized sofa/lounge area and it was nice to have the extra space. The service was exceptional - everyone was so friendly from the housekeepers to the guys on reception. Bathrooms were a good size and I enjoyed the Aveda products. We were there in unseasonably warm weather (32 degrees) and there was no air conditioning only ceiling fans so one night was a bit warm. We didn't have a view from the room but it was very quiet. Location is excellent - just off union square and in the centre of eveything. It's right on one of the main cable car lines. There is a continental breakfast (bagels, pastries, cereals etc.), wine and cheese in the evening and then cookies from about 8:30pm
“Excellent experience”
Great value - wonderful hotel - super location by the Disney store on Union Square. Staff were helpful (great source of info on restaurants, best ways to get places, things to see & do), pleasant, unobtrusive. Continental breakfast offered a great selection; evening wine & cheese was wonderful - everyone in the hotel looked forward to it each evening. Beds & pillows (down) are super comfortable. Negatives - bathroom was a bit small and there was no air conditioning but everything else more than compensated for this. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. It's clean, has character, and it's quiet. We absolutely loved it!
“would return in a heartbeat!!!”
amazing hotel, staff couldnt be friendly or more helpful. location was spot on! great little extras like wine and cheese and free breakfast buffet! would not come to san francisco without staying here. fantastic trip!
“Great Location”
Ideal location for a short break In San Francisco. Staff friendly and helpful Got lots of tips from other guests at the 5.30 wine and nibbles gatherings. Bedroom on the small side but quite adequate and quiet. Would stay here again
