“Lovely hotel and staff - rooms not very soundproof though!”
The location of this hotel isgreat - really central, fantastic shopping and an easy walk to lovely restaurants and many of the key sights. We were made very welcome by the staff and as the hotel occupies a few floors of a genuine Roman 17th century building, there's a wonderfully authentic feel when staying here. The only word of caution I would have is that (probably due to the age of the building) there really is almost no soundproofing between the rooms, so if your neighbours want to stay up chatting til 4am (like ours did on one night!) you will have trouble sleeping... Very high quality fittings in bathroom and linens in the room, with a spectacular round bed in our room. Nice touch that the soft drinks in the minibar are free. And again, the staff were absolutely charming and really helpful - well done!
“Perfect location”
Great hotel service, perfect location, wonderful breakfast , charming hotel. Would definitely go back.
“Wonderful typical Italian Hotel in a great Location”
This was a lovely, typically Italian Hotel in a fantastic location (Spanish steps (2 minute walk) and Trevi fountain (5-10 minute walk) . The staff were very helpful and friendly (without being too friendly) and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Rome.
“Charme et élégance, idéal pour un voyage en amoureux!”
Nous fûmes reçus on ne peut mieux dans cet hôtel de charme en plein coeur du quartier de la mode. Passez la porte cochère, vous aurez l'impression d'aller chez des amis en montant les marches de ce palazzo Italien. Le top du goût, du service, du confort et de la gentillesse. Nous y retournerons !
“Charming!!”
We arrived in Rome a little early, but Vittoria was extremely helpful and allowed for us to leave our luggage until our room was ready. When we returned a couple hours later, our luggage was stowed in our room. The a/c was wonderful after a half days shopping. Breakfast was better than some Italian hotels, but usually standard. Our room was comfortable (just my daughter and I) but the bathroom WAS a little tight. A previous poster had written about the toilet stuck between the wall and shower, so we must had the same room. :) Again, Vittoria and rest of staff very helpful. Made arrangements for a car to airport and she (the driver) was brilliant. Location good for shopping and surrounding area.
“Hotel Residenza Frattina”
We arrived in Rome on the 15th August 2011 for a four night stay in the Hotel Residenza Frattina. The staff were all extremely friendly and always ready to help us with anything we required whilst giving us advise on how to make the most of Rome. The location could not have been better. Next to the Spanish Steps and the Spagna Metro. The location allowed us to see Rome in 3 hour steps as the hotel was only 20-30minutes away from all major sights. This allowed welcome breaks out of the sun a couple of times during the day. An extra welcoming feature was the free soft drink in the fridge, cakes and the air conditioning. Breakfast was continental and set you up for the day and gave you an adequate selection of food and drinks. All the staff were friendly and the rooms clean. Although the walls are a little thin this did not affect our holiday and the drawer and wardrobe space in the rooms was more than i have experienced abroad before. The lounge was pretty and peaceful. After an expensive dinner for a family of 4, and tired legs from walking around Rome all day we enjoyed retiring to the lounge for a peaceful game of cards. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody travelling to Rome. It is a small but homely place to stay with everything you need. . Thank you to all the staff.
“Great Hotel”
This is a great little hotel in the heart of historic Rome, only a few blocks from the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and the Metro. The service was great and the hotel was very clean and neat.
“Via frattina”
Rooms a little snug, and noise travels as walls are thin, but overall very nice. Fantastic location for all main sites, easy walking distances.
“Character hotel close to everything”
This hotel is perfect for exploring Rome and its attractions. It is centrally placed and we were able to walk to all the main attractions. There are plenty of restautants and cafes closeby and you are in the middle of all the shops. Do not expect a modern hotel with all mod cons. The hotel is in a side road in an older style building above shops but there was no noise. The room is a reasonable size but well maintained There are 12 rooms and a comfortable lounge/bar area where breakfast is served in the morning - Continental style but a good choice. Coffee and biscuits are available all day in the lounge as well as rooms. Also there was free access to the internet via a laptop in the lounge - a nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful. We have already recommended it to family that are going to Rome soon
“Small unique hotel.”
Beautiful unique hotel.Travelled with a friend and we had a room each.which were both big. Beds were so comfortable with lovely white bed linen.Tea and coffee making facilities in room, which is a big bonus for continental hotels.Mini bar with soft drinks which were all complimentary was a lovely touch. Only down side if you can call it that is that although we knew there was no lift, we thought we were going to be on !st floor, but infact were on 3rd floor, and when you get to a certain age after a days walking. 72 steps was a bit daunting. Although I must say it did keep us fit and burned the calories after a big lunch and dinner. Also between rooms can be a bit noisy as I found out when an american lady was phoning home at 2 in the morning.Apart from that a lovely friendly hotel.

Spanish Steps - Trevi Fountain, Rome, Italy: Romes largest, most spectacular fountain, the Trevi Fountain is a baroque extravaganza, its ancient sea gods and gushing water dominating a tiny piazza. Immortalised in Fellinis film, La Dolce Vita, this is the place to toss your coins to ensure your return to the Eternal City. The three streets radiating from the piazza lead to the historical centre and sights of the Quirinale one of the original seven hills.
