"Very nice hotel"
Very clean and modern. Nicely decorated. Excellent bathrooms with large showers. Separate sitting room and bedroom. Good closet space. Rooms contain a lockable safe. Exceptional.continental breakfast. Includes a juicer that squeezes fresh oranges. In a busy area and only a few blocks from a nice walking park. Lots of good places to eat within a reasonable distance. Only negative is traffic to get there... Watch the taxi prices. Got charged $2 one way and $5 on return which he quickly dropped to $4 when we objected because of the fare the other way.

"A little gem in old Quito"
Wonderful staff, great location, good breakfast. This is a beautiful little hotel - a bed and breakfast, with great beds and welcoming staff who speak excellent English. The views of the old city are superb. We recommend it without hesitation.

"A very satisfied guest"
The Dann Carlton offered me amenities and services of similarly top ranking hotels, but at less the costs. My room was spacious and bed, tv's, internet connection, quality toiletries, etc. contributed to my comfort. Its restaurant, swimming options with sauna, etc. were similarly comforting. As important, a professional and trustworthy staff followed up in forwarding some personal items I had left behind. I can only that my future stays at other hotels will be of equivalent experience. "I would stay here again"
I stayed here for a week in February and the staff were most accommodating. My room was fresh and clean. I originally had a suite but changed to the business room because it had a view. All the suites are on the back side and while the room was very nice, I preferred a view. The business room was just smaller, still had 2 mini bars, comfy bed and nice pillows. Yes, it could be a bit noisy during the day.....you are in the middle of a big city. But at night I had no problem sleeping and the noise level settles down. The hotel arraigned my transport to and from the airport and it was $35.00. Taxis are plentiful in front of the hotel. I needed to get another suitcase and just wanted to run into the mega maxi, get one and return to the hotel. My Spanish is very limited and my taxi driver didn't speak English but he understood to wait for me, and then decided it would be better if he came with me. (Mega maxi is a big shopping plaza) so it was great as he showed me right where the suitcases were and gave the cashier his discount card so I could get the discount, then we were off back to the hotel. The fare for this was $12 dollars, so I gave him a nice tip. At any rate my experience with this hotel was excellent. As a 60 year old single female I always felt very safe here.

"Great location to explore downtown Quito."
We stayed there between landing in Quito and heading out to Kapawi Lodge. Service was good and breakfast was great. A nice quiet place to relax with perfect access to the Plaza independence and La Ronda. Just a little difficult for our taxi driver to find the first night. It does not have a big sign

"Great hotel"
We ate dinner at the onsite Mexican restaurant and were shocked by the less than satisfactory service. Our pre dinner cocktails arrived with the main course. We had to find a server to ask for the wine to be opened and served.
