Ecuador Hotels

The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy staying at their hotel. Opera restaurant is really good. The only inconvenience is that there was no a/c in our room, but with the windows open and the altitude in this country it does not get that hot.

We had a wonderful time in this great hotel one block from the main square in Old Town, Quito (an exceptional city)

This was my second visit to this hotel and I plan to use it on all returns to Quito. A word about the comfort rating of 4: by U.S. standards it was small with a tiny bathroom. But every thing sparkled and functioned just fine including the high shower head and plenty of hot water. Very good English is spoken by the desk staff.

It was a very good experience, the hotel has a beutifull sightness.

The Lun Fun is a local hotel, so rooms not that hot, but clean. That being said, the staff, the bar and the restaurant are great. It is just off main highway and near bus station, so noisy, but in Ecuador I found even the nicer hotels, on a main road...noisy. The manager, Celia, is fabulous, told us where to go, arranged for Dentist for my husband. I just loved the food we got for breakfast and the food we ate there at night. It is a Chinese restaurant, but with other foods too. It isn't right downtown, more on edge, but still walkable to the main part of town. Taxi's are reasonable there in Manta to, about 2 to 3 dollars, anywhere.

This hotel is wonderful. It is a little out of the way, but in the very lush highlands of Santa Cruz and a short taxi trip (about 20 minutes) to the Darwin Center. The hotel grounds attract lots of birds, for example egrets, yellow warblers, finches etc. The staff is really wonderful. They meet you at the airport (a complimentary service), take you to the hotel's air conditioned VIP lounge, take care of all the entrance formalities, and then take you to the hotel. They do the same on the way back. The staff also arranged day trips to different islands for me, and the tour company they use was excellent. All the staff members went out of their way to make me feel welcome. So: the facilities are excellent; the staff great; the surroundings very pretty. I have already recommended the hotel to a friend.

This was a great hotel. We were only there for one night, but the room was spacious and really nice.
