"Great hotel in a great location"
We have stayed at the Hotel Valley Ho a couple times and it hasn't disappointed yet. The hotel is a retro style and the rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any requests or questions we had.

"Girl's trip to AZ"
We stayed at the Mill District location. Although it was in n a college neighborhood, it was amazingly quiet. The rooms were smaller than expected, but comfortable. Although the bathrooms were well decorated, the low ceilings made them feel claustrophobic. The front desk staff were amazing and helpful in every way. My friend was locked out of her room and they were more thsn willing to assist even though she didn't have her ID.

"Great hotel"
This is a very nice hotel in a great location. It is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and the waterfront area. Upon arriving we were greeted by Danny who immediately provided a wealth of information about the hotel and area. this was very helpful since it was our first trip to Scottsdale. The king suite is a large, well appointed room. It was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Marriott thought of everything here, right down to the antibacterial wipes left on each TV remote.

"Complete condo for the price of a hotel room"
We were pleasantly surprised to find the our "hotel" room was a bedroom plus a loft bedroom plus a full kitchen (sink, stove top and refrigerator) and a fireplace in the living room. We were just steps from the pool and the restaurant. We were serenaded with live music at poolside our first night, our front lawn was a nicely groomed miniature golf course and we had breakfast both mornings included for the $150/per night stay. Everything was easy to access and the Phoenix airport was only 25 minutes away. I have a feeling that during the winter months this room would be more expensive and there would be more guests, but at the end of May we were lucky not to have too many other people around, the weather was much cooler than usuual (80's), and the price was terrific.

"A Nice Retro Resort"
When we arrived the atmosphere of the resort and the rooms reminded me of stepping into the 1970's. I was a little disappointed that we were charged extra for a 'daily resort fee' upon our departure, when I used the pool and facilities only once during my 5 day stay. Most of our stay was with family so we were not at the hotel very much. The place was nicely maintained and clean. I did not appreciate the sidewalk cleaner(power washer)running for 2 hours for the only day that I did spend at the pool area, which happened to be a Saturday. When we arrived at our room there was a musty, old hotel type of odor, but it was not because the room wasn't clean because it was. I purchased some air freshener and candles to attempt to mask the odor, it seemed to be some better when we left. I don't know if I would stay at the El Dorado again, mainly because of the musty smell in the room.
