“pleasantly surprised”
I had always heard good things about the Phoenician but didn't expect such a well rounded experience. The property; pool, rooms, common areas were all in excellent condition and the restaurants were great. My plan on this quick weekend getaway was to have dinners at anyone of the great Scottsdale restaurants but we ended up eating at one of the hotel restaurants (can't remember the name, top of the hotel with great views) and we kept going back. I didn't golf but the course looked like it was in great condition. The service was excellent, the bell desk staff were super friendly and helpfull.
“Very impressed.. would definitely go back...”
Great facilities and service. Pools a bit crowded because of spring break but staff very helpful in setting up extra pool chairs. Restaurants good but the decor inside the main restaurant was a bit stuffy... Golf camp for the kids was outstanding especially the golf pro. Tennis courts were beautifully maintained but were a bit expensive to rent and were always empty. Overall lovely hotel, beautiful grounds and so slean!!!!
“beautiful resort”
Everything was top of the line. The spa was good but not great. The accomodations were gorgeous. Do not stay on the east side of the resort due to construction. You will be fine anywhere else.
“Very impressed”
Our stay the Phoenician was very nice, we both wish we had stayed longer. The room was very spacious and deluxe. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was great too. We also ate at the Italian restaurant which was wonderful too. All around a great stay!
“Best place to stay in the Phoenix area”
This is the second year we have stayed at the Phoenician and we will always come back to this hotel. None others have compared in the past, customer for life.
“Absolute luxury!”
The Phoenician was absolute luxury from the moment we checked in until we left. We spent our honeymoon there and it is definitely a special place to stay. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, the setting phenomonial, the views from the rooms spectacular. I highly recommend this hotel and should I find myself back in Scottsdale I would definitely book it again through Expedia.
“Best of Phoenix/Scottsdale”
This hotel was amazing, I had driven in front of it during a previous visit to Phoenix and always wanted to go back and stay there, well.. I was not disappointed at all, the facility is impressive, golf courses to dye for, the spa & restaurants were up to par. the rooms were comfortable and well decorated, the only complaint I had was with the housekeeping, they left a plastic cup with 1/3 of my beer seating on my nightstand during a three day stay, I could not believe this happened, besides this minor but unusual error they kept the bathrooms and room clean, not impressed with housekeeping for a hotel of this statue. Everything else was great, don't get me wrong, I'll go back and stay at this place again, food was good, restaurant service was excellent. Go and enjoy a relaxing vacation. My wife loved it! On a side note do not rent your car from FOX Car Rental they are the worst rental we've ever had, slow service over 45 min to get to your car, no cruise control, no power windows and they claim is a 2008 model??? stay away from FOX car rental
“The Phoenician is a first rate Hotel!”
The Phoenician is truely a five star hotel/resort. The personal customer service was genuine and began at the greeting and continued to the check out. The room was spacious, clean and extraordinarily quiet. The bathroom was nicely designed with granite counter tops and travertine floors. The walk- in shower was large enough for a group of people to shower at once and had a sitting bench. The Phoenician is a first class hotel.
“AN OASIS IN THE DESERT”
EVERYTHING WAS TOPNOTCH. FROM THE NINE SWIMMING POOLS TO THE FANTASTIC MEALS. CANT WAIT TO RETURN!!
“Phoenix's Best Resort”
This is an awesome resort, our stayed in a Casitas overlooking one of the golf courses. We also got a very good summer rate for the stay. We travel with a younger family and the staff was very accommodating at ALL levels of the property. If renting a vehicle, I would suggest parking in the covered parking lot just beside the Casitas. Me and my oldest son (11 yrs) played 18 holes of golf on the property. I must say this was one of the top golf courses I played, not only for the course but for the views. Several holes tee from up on the side of Camelback mountain, dropping 100 yards to the green. Summer rates for 18 holes was $70 for me and $35 for him, well worth the price. I suggest an early tee-time. The kids loved the slide! Staff were present at both ends of the slide. Of the three tier pools, we choose the top pool under some of the shade trees, it was very relaxing and didn't feel crowded anytime. We will definately come back to stay here.
