If staying at this property, perhaps recommend staying on 1st floor as our room was ground floor and the noise from upstairs guests was very loud - not much in terms of sound insulation. "Unfortunately we arrived and Expedia had over booked us for a family room. But the amazing staff soon sorted it for us and we ended up have the most amazing stay. I highly recommend the hotel. Bar meals or room service not so much very expensive for what you get if I’m honest. But can’t fault the hotel stay or staff. "

"Characterful property in open countryside with good free parking. A car is needed for getting about as no immediate public transport (40 minute walk to nearest bus stop). Set in lovely grounds with seating outside for warmer days and plenty inside when it isn't so nice. Large room with bath and shower though minmal sockets and not near bed. Good for relaxing and not being distracted by phones. There was an event on the evening we stayed but music stopped by 11pm. Great for a relaxing break. "

"Our lodge was amazing there was plenty of room for 4 adults and the lodge can accommodate 6 although only 4 people can sit at the dining table inside. The hot tub was ready for use when we arrived and self check in was easy. Amanda who came to check the hot tub was very friendly and helpful. Please note the lodge has underfloor heating so the wall heaters aren’t required and the hot water seems to be regulated from the thermostat in the kitchen.
