"Nice to be right on the beach but rooms are small."
The room was too small. We booked a king size bed room for 4 people, but there wasn't a sofa bed for the kids. Expedia shouldn't allow you to book a room that exceeds the number of people it can sleep. We ended up having to get roll away beds, but the room was too small for this. It was very crowded. Not all the rooms have a good beach view, some are partial views. We requested to be moved to a room with a better view. There's a great Mexican restaurant within walking distance that is reasonably priced.

"Couldn't Sleep"
We went to this hotel because we use to go here when it was Embassy Suites and we got a good deal. The room was nice but the air-conditioner didn't work. We called the front desk and the engineers came to the room. They worked on it and were real nice but the air-conditioner still didn't work. It was set at 65 but the room felt like 80. Our daughter or us barely slept. When we told the front desk at checkout they just said okay thank you. The only other thing about the room was the caulking around the sink was coming off. That should be taken care of for the price you pay for the room. It makes the room feel cheap. Breakfast was good but not a whole lot if you are a vegetarian. You can get by with fruit and pancakes but you can't have biscuits and gravy. We liked it when it better when it was Embassy Suites. We never had a bad night stay at Embassy.

POSTMARC Hotel and Spa Suites - South Lake Tahoe Hotels
Rating: 2.0 Stars

POSTMARC Hotel and Spa Suites

3696 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe - Map

"A little high class on a low budget"
We chose the Postmarc because of its proximity to the casinos, restaurants and outdoor sports; we also chose it because we were under the impression they had an actual spa, as in day spa. I might be naive but I did learn "spa" in California means jacuzzi. The front desk staff were super friendly and accommodated our very late arrival. The room was amazing. The bed was fluffy and clean, like sleeping in a cloud. The jacuzzi, although a little loud when other rooms had theirs on, was clean and pure magic. Our room keys consistently did not work despite resetting them at least three times. Overall we were thoroughly impressed with the low cost and suite-like ambiance and would definitely stay there again.

"Tight and hot but otherwise good to go."
Had a one room suite, quarters were pretty tight but room was super clean and well furnished. Pretty hot in Squaw while we were there and the boochie aircon just didn't cut it. But it was still cooler than the 110 in Sacramento!

"Decent inn"
The inn was a bit dated but definitely served it's purpose. We liked the mini-fridge & microwave, and being close to the lake was a plus.

"Nice hotel with great view"
The room we stay is very spacious with two full bath. We like the mountain view. The beds are very comfy. I do not like th fact that they charge extra for children stay with their parents, even under 12 which is unusual for US hotel. I thought only Europe countries do that. The carpets need to be replaced, not bed skirt which again is unusual for upscale hotel. May or may not we stay here again.
