"This lovely, quiet cottage is perfectly outfitted with all your needs. Gorgeous orange trees shade the house in the garden in front. Delicious! We lacked nothing and were well cared for by our hosts. The location, a serene neighborhood, was ideal for appointments at Stanford. A total thumbs up."

"Cottage has everything you need to be comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked. Beds are very comfortable. Lots of blankets and pillows. Fenced yard for pets. Owner is a delight!"

"The Star Wars house was charming and quite comfortable. The kids definitely got a kick out of the decor. I think my only issue is I didn’t read the details closely because we were surprised there wasn’t a stove or oven and we were supposed to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving. Oops! But the owners are really nice, they communicate well and are there if you need anything. Note that this is attached to their home with a separate entrance for privacy. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"We love that the room was clean and surprisingly there was not a lot of noise so we were able to sleep deep. They gave us a key to enter the building which was helpful. It was convenient for us because we were able to walk to get breakfast at different places. There is no parking available but overall we love staying here. I love that there was free coffee."

"Situated in an area where one would expect to pay more, within walking distance to Chinatown and Union Square. A few, minor improvements are needed: poor heating, blinds don’t block enough sunlight, sleeper sofa is extremely small, and both the sofa and bed could be more comfortable. Biggest downfall are no hot water (tepid at best), loud outdoor traffic. On the plus side, management replies quickly and rooms are clean"

"Room had refrigerator and microwave. Bed was clean and comfortable. For the price range this is a good deal. The room in the 50 to 60 dollar price range is hard to beat. Most all california motels are more expensive. Recommend this for a budget minded solo traveler. Just be safe with the neighborhood. It is a bad neighborhood full of drugs and homelessness. "

The listing makes the rooms look clean, but they’re disgusting and ours had a window leading to a ledge right outside the window that anyone could have come onto and broken in. No hot water, even after running it for five minutes. No Wi-Fi. Rude manager."

"On our way driving to Phoenix we decided to spend 3 nights in Half Moon Bay, had never been to this area. It was great! The accommodation was good, bathroom small and sink tiny but the kitchen sink was large so my husband and I used that! Only thing lacking was no wardrobe or closet for hanging clothes, only 1 hook in the bedroom, but we managed and did like the space and cottage feel! Also right next door fabulous little coffee house, great coffees and baked goods and breakfast wraps and...
