“Charming and Quaint”
We loved the Hermitage. It's right off the Ponte Vecchio -- a little noisy, but great location! The staff was more helpful than anywhere else we've ever been, especially at the reception desk, where the woman on duty got us reservations at the sights (she insisted on doing this without us asking!) and at restaurants. The bed was a little hard, and we would have liked to have a computer on the premises, but the beautiful public rooms and charm of the antique furnishings made up for those minor inconveniences. We would stay there again and will definitely recommend it to our friends.
“Wonderful”
The hotel is in a perfect location with great views. The staff was helpful and very nice. I plan on going back to Florence someday and I will defiantly stay there. Nice breakfast and clean.
“So convenient”
We wanted somewhere central to minimise walking and this was ideal, a stone's throw from teh Ponte Vecchio and just a stoll from the Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio and the rest of the historic centre. 10-15 min walk from the station. Decent security (code needed for lift to reach hotel), small room but decent air con (a must in August, firm bed. Fabulous roof terrace with great view over river and Oltrarno, good breakfast and service.
“Simply Charming !!!”
This hotel was in an excellent location. The rooms were small but very clean and just fine for our needs. The service was excellent from the hotel staff. The rooftop terrace was so wonderful, relaxed there at the end of each day with a glass of wine and some snacks. It had a wonderful view of the Duomo and beyond. You felt like you were in a private garden. The breakfast room was just as wonderful with a delicious breakfast each morning. Loved the Living Room, it felt like home, we would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it.
“At home in Florence”
This is a very nice hotel with an at home feel. The room was very nice. The breakfast nook was simply beautiful--a great way to start the day. The lounge was like being at home in one's living room and the roof garden was a great place to relax. To top it off, all three rooms, the nook, the lounge and the garden have great views. From them one can see the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and the city hall. For a person like me with very limited Italian, it was most helpful to have a staff which spoke excellent English. All in all one of the nicer places I've stayed at.
“Hotel hermitage”
Wonderful hotel friendly and helpful staff, and great location.
“great location”
right across from the Ponte Vecchio & easy walking to almost everywhere you could want to go. Ask for inside room, street side can be a little noisey
“Tres bon hotel en plein centre de Florence”
Tres bonne situation geographique, tout est a quelques pas. Magnifique vue depuis la terrasse tout en prenant le petit dejeuner!
“A Nice Little Hotel”
This hotel is located right at the centre of everything. Being next to the Ponte Vecchio, we could easily walk to most attractions. They have a very tiny elevator but their staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to my friends for sure.
