“'A hotel with a view'”
This was a perfect base to see Florence from, we were almost staying in the Uffizi gallery we were so close and the Ponte Vecchio wasjust as near! Breakfast was elegant and the views from the terrace bar did not dissapoint. This accomodation felt typical of Florence.
“The place to stay when visiting Florence”
The Hotel degli Orafi exceeded our expectations which were very high based on Trip Advisor reviews. The location is adjacent to the Uffizi Museum so it is a perfect location for visiting the highlights of Florence. It is located on the river, and the fifth floor lounge is a perfect spot for relaxing with a view and enjoying their complimentary snacks every afternoon along with your favorite drink. Our room 105 was very large, although it did not have a view. However, we were right down the hall from their beaufiful breakfast room which served excellent breakfasts starting at 7 AM each morning. The staff was extremely helpful and I recommend you have them make reservations for you at the museums so you can avoid the long lines. There is no cost to have them do this. We shall definitely stay here during our next visit to Florence. There was even a hotel gift for us on the bed when we arrived.
“Great hotel to explore the Lucca/Pisa area.”
We booked in for 3 nights to see a different part of Italy. The city of Lucca was like a mini-Florence with a fraction of the tourists. The hotel was immediately outside of the city's gate which made access easy. We used the hotel's bikes to travel all about the city the first day. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. PM these serve a complimentary snack bar with prosecco and beer. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy. You couldn't find a better hotel for the area. Ask for a room overlooking the gardens, second floor or above.
“Beautiful!!!”
This is a beautiful hotel right on the Arno River just a couple of blocks from all the main sights. The rooms are luxuriously furnished with all the amenities. There is a beautiful terrace overlooking the river where you can sun during the day or drink your wine in the evening. The airlines had lost our luggage and they were very helpful in trying to locate it for us. We stayed there two nights before going to Venice for two nights, and when we returned to Florence on the fifth night, they upgraded us to a gorgeous 2-story suite, which we think they did because they felt sorry for us, as our luggage had finally shown up at the hotel after we had already left for Venice. The complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent as well. This is where I would choose to stay if we ever go back again.
“Hotel made the holiday”
My friend and I stayed in single rooms which were both of good size and beautiful marble bathrooms.Lovely bathrobe and complimentary slippers. It was lovely to have a drink or icecream on the terrace after walking around Florence. Found all the staff without exception extremely helpful and very pleasant. especially Sylvia on reception, who went out of her way to find out which tv channel Man Utd and barcelona match was on. Hotel in perfect position next to Ponte Vecchio and within easy access to everywhere. Wouldnt hesitate in staying there again.
“A perfect hotel”
Hotel degli Orafi is in a perfect central location in Florence next door to the Uffizi Gallery. The hotel is very clean and has many amenities including a delicious breakfast, free cotton t-shrts and free refrigerated bottled water, along w/ vouchers for free drinks in their roof-top bar. This was my second time here and I love this place. I would stay here again again in a minute!
“Hotel degli Orafi”
I have never been to Italy and had some reservations. Much to our delight, the Hotel was exceptional - the food and staff were so very good. The rooms were spacious and decorated very nicely. It was centrally located. I would reccoment this Hotel, theis trip to all!!! We were very impressed!
“One of the best hotels ever”
This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever booked. The rooms were large, clean and modern, with all the conveniences you could want. The breakfast room as beautiful and the breakfast truly amazing. We loved the lounge on the top floor. You could see the Dome of the Duoma as well as the Ponte Vecchio. We always ended our evenings with a nightcap to take in the view. The staff spoke English well and were very friendly and helpful. I feel we really got our money's worth at this hotel and would stay there again. I loved Florence so much that I will visit again.
“Top 4* Classic yet Modern Hotel in the heart of Florence...”
The Hotel degli Orafi is a classy and well located hotel minutes from the Ponte Vecchio with views over the Arno. Its buffet breakfast in a beautiful & grand period parlour, has cooked eggs&bacon an upgrade from the usual Continental b'fast. Service is efficient and welcoming; and definitely a hotel we'd recommend to friends.
“perfect base.”
If you want to be right on the doorstep of everything you could really wish to see in Florence you would be hard pressed to choose a better location or a more comfortable hotel than this. Our room was on the third floor and was a standard double. It did not have a view of the river or the Ponte Vecchio but we weren't expecting that anyway. It didn't matter because we only had to walk out of the front door of the hotel to see the famous old bridge. There is so much to do and see in Florence that we spent little time in our room but there was plenty of space,a large, modern en-suite and complementary bottled water in the mini-bar. The free welcome drink in the hotel bar served with a tray of snacks, the view of the rooftops and the dome of the duomo and the pleasant welcome of the bar staff helped get our break off to the perfect start. Breakfast was a sumptuous affair, with a vast array of pastries, cold meats and cheeses, smoked salmon and salad. Bacon and eggs, fruit juices and coffee completed the spread and it was a pleasure to sit in the beautiful dining room admiring the frescoes on the ceiling. The location could not be better. With the Ponte Vecchio thirty seconds walk in one direction and the Uffizi gallery a few seconds more in the other direction this hotel is in the perfect spot. The Piazza della Signoria is just around the corner and a short stroll through the main shopping area takes you to the Duomo. Don't miss Michelangelo's David.
