“Wonderful”
Hotel extremely 5* In a central location, walking distance from all the sights. Car taken away to be parked. Expensive, but then you get what you pay for.
“Excellent hotel - would recommend to others.”
Thought Helvetia & Bristol was a great hotel. Good size room, luxurious, very clean, staff very helpful. Great location - all attractions are within walking distance.
“A great place to stay”
I cannot overstate the quality of this hotel. On arrival the car was whisked away to be parked, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who then personally showed us to our room (no fumbling with bags - they followed later). The rooms were furnished with antiques and were very comfortable. The hotel is right in the centre of Florence, close to the Duomo, shopping and sights - just right. Take my advice - this is not the cheapest hotel you could find but you stay there and leave with a smile on your face.
“Great Room and Excellent Location”
Great Hotel in Florence. 5 Star quality and the location is ideal, well worth the price.
“A nice Traditional hotel”
We really thought everyone at this lovely hotel was very plesant & accommodating, we simply had a miscommunication with the concierge which cause a problem (they handled it pefectly however). He spoke & understood english just fine, they simply do things differently than in the US & one has to make forgivenesses for such things in order to not let things ruin their vacation. The location was GREAT. Walking distance to the bus/train station for easy daily excursions. Right in the middle of the shopping district. A few blocks from the Arno & the more lively & upbeat South Side. This is a very quiet hotel. Our upgraded room was two stories which was an unexpected treat (very Europian). The jacuzzi in the all marble bath was great after a long day of walking. Heated floors/towel holders along with robes/sleeps made me feel right at home. They also have a decent free video library that was great for those nights we had no energy to walk another step. Their food was FABULOUS &room service prompt. They also had an affordable Internet Service. Our internet service in London was free (& in a much larger hotel). Here we had to pay, though not much, such a small hotel should provide it free. Florence is a VERY expensive city to visit. Be prepared with cash. Many places do not except credit. The hotel does not except credit on excursions they set up for you or stamps:cash only.
“A charming hotel”
A charming hotel with an exellent service. The staff are friendly and very helpfull.
“Fabulous Florence Find!”
Loved my 7 night stay. Hotel lobby was great place to meet for drinks or coffee or to just relax. There was always a friendly face. Desk staff could not be more helpful and of course always smiling. Would stay there anytime. I highly recommend
“Unique Hotel in Great Location”
Quirky rooms with antiques make this hotel different from the impersonal hotels we find in many cities. The location is perfect - on a quite street and close to the best shops. Great service from the front desk and good advice on restaurants and galleries.
