“Great hotel in the heart of Florence”
The hotel staff was friendly and helped us with directions, hotel reservations, and information. The room was clean and the hotel was well maintained. Breakfast was good and the staff made sure items were stocked, regardless of what time we came for breakfast within their breakfast hours. The location could not be beat, just one block from the Duomo and the heart of Florence. Great stay.
“Excellent base”
Hotel Benivieni is a quiet, clean, comfortable family-run hotel with good service just round the corner from the Piazza del Duomo - one of the main tourist attractions. There is an excellent breakfast bar and while there are no mini-bars there is twenty-four hour room service. The staff are very helpful. The surounding area is full of cafes and restaurants. There is even an English-language secondhand bookshop right across the street! For me it was an ideal base for a brief visit focused on history and culture. I imagine many other people with similar interests would be equally well satisfied.
“Outstanding Florence Hotel Benivieni”
Very nice hotel right in the heart of Florence, Italy. Close to the Duomo and easy walking distance to all the historic areas of Florence. Great people and excellent service. Breakfast is delightful and set in a cheerful room. We'll be back to stay there again.

“Great intro to Florence!”
My daughter, wife, and I shared a room here for two nights in late November. No complaints whatsoever. The hotel is located right near the Duomo, in the central Firenze historical district, but was still quiet and unobtrusive. Staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful, providing excellent touring and dining recommendations. The room was larger than I had expected--particularly as it had to accommodate three of us--and was very clean. All sites, shopping, and dining were within easy walking distance.

“Excellent location to see Florence”
If you're looking for a good hotel with character and a very convenient location for sight-seeing in Florence then we can recommend the Benivieni. Tucked away in a small quiet street very close to the amazing Duomo, (and even closer to the best ice cream gelateria in Florence) the family-run hotel is a well converted ancient building reputed to have been a synagogue at some point. Rooms are nicely furnished and room service seemed to be able to supply anything from adaptors to good advice as to where to eat - and then make the booking for you! Friendly, helpful, English-speaking service, a good straightforward breakfast buffet and somewhere we would definitely choose to stay again. Don't be put off by the cathedral bells - all part of the ambience, and a lovely way to wake up in Florence.
“Have been to Florence 3 now, by far the best hotel we have stayed at.”
This was our 3rd visit to Florence. You cannot pick an hotel more to the centre than this. Would certainly use this hotel again if we come again and recommend it to our freinds. The only complaint and it is only small, it would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room. There are lots of cafes very close by so it was not a problem.
“Excellent Hotel Close to Major Florence Sites”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. When we had trouble finding our train schedule they were able to look it up for us. This saved us a 5 euro fee for internet or a walk to the train station (15 minutes). The room was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. We had a view only of the courtyard behind the hotel. There was some noise in the evenings from nearby restaurants, residents and church bells. This hotel is located very close to the Duomo in the center of Florence; it is about 200 yards away. It is also a short walk (10 minutes) to the Uffizi and Academia Galleries. It is a longer walk (15 - 20 minutes) to the Ponte Vechio and Pitti Palace. If you are walking from the train station we would have been lost without our detailed map. The rate we paid was very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in Florence.
“Would definetly stay here again”
Loved this hotel. Convenient to everything. Owners very helpful. When we go back will stay here again. We have stayed all over Italy and would consider this a 5 star.
