“Great bu t not close enough to pier.”

The room was very clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I was not pleased with my oceanfront room view. There was a palm tree blocking my view. I called the front desk and told them. The lady at the desk quickly changed my room with a better view. The pier was not as close as I thought it would be. Overall it was a great stay.

This hotel is four star quality. The cleaniness of not only the room but the entire facility was superior. The bedding was luxurious. The pool and beach area were delightful. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

“A pleasant surprise”

Our Florida trips are usually extended weekend stays at upper end resorts. This time, we were looking for a hotel with available oceanfront rooms, a restaurant and a lounge, for a spur of the moment weekend getaway. Expedia indicated that this hotel was the only one available within 1.5 hours of our home. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in good condition, the staff was helpful and courteous and our room was clean with no signs of mildew that often plague mid to low end beachfront hotels in Florida. Although the hotel is not large, it has a moderately priced restaurant with a small but varied selection of menu items. The restaurant and lounge share a covered patio that overlooks the pool and Atlantic ocean and is well shaded on hot summer afternoons. The immediate area consists of low to mid-range hotels and condominiums and a number of vacant lots. The hotel is located about a mile north of the Daytona Beach boardwalk and the convention center, so there are a lot of activities within walking distance. We spent three relaxing nights here, never needing our car between check-in and check-out. The hotel is family oriented and packed on weekends but slower paced on weekdays. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere at all times and will likely return here again.

This hotel offers a breakfast voucher you can purchase - Save your money. I was not pleased with the breakfast buffett or the value of the menu items.

“Good location/quality for the money”

Our room was slightly bigger than a normal hotel room. We had a street side view, which was okay. The AC seemed to "cycle" quite a bit, like every 5 minutes. That was hard to get used to if you were trying to watch tv. There was some mold in the shower. The service to make up the rooms was SLOW! The first day, we purposely put the sign on the door to do not disturb. New towels were not necessary at this point. The next day, we left for a day of excursions and returned well after lunchtime and they were still cleaning our room. We hung out in the lobby for about 30 minutes for them to finish. The next day, we requested they make it up because even though we came back well after noon, it hadn't been touched. We did this request as we were leaving for a walk on the beach and dinner. The downstairs restaurant was reasonably price and had decent food. The bar and bartender were great for a casual evening at "the hotel bar". Pool right on the beach was awesome! A downside was less than adequate parking right at the hotel. The auxiliary parking across the street always had available spaces, but sometimes crossing the street was a challenge.
