Cardston County Water Front Cottage

Lovely 2 bedroom cottage in Cardston County just 30 min from Waterton Park, Castle Mountain and the USA boarder and just 5 min away from Waterton Reservoir. Property includes use of Waterton park pass for duration of stay. Covered back deck features view of water and includes 6 ppl patio set and BBQ - work remotely while enjoying this beautiful view! Master bedroom has built in storage cabinetry and queen bed with second bedroom featuring built in bunk beds with single on top (max 100 lbs) and double bed on the bottom. Living room area has queen sized hide-a-bed for extra sleep capacity. Comes with one full sized bathroom with tub. Perfect for seniors or people with limited mobility as only 2 steps into cottage and 1 step inside. Cottage comes equipped with internet, 2 smart tv's (1 in living room + 1 in master bedroom), bedding/pillows, towels, dishwasher, fridge, gas range, conventional microwave, bar fridge, BBQ, Keurig coffee maker with pods, window AC unit (summer season only), washer/dryer and electric fireplace in living room. Cottage also comes stocked with kitchen supplies such as pots, pans, dishes, toaster, cutlery, spices, coffee/tea, and condiments. Extra long driveway available to accommodate up to 3 vehicles. Fire pit with wood in back yard also available for use. Lake on property is available for non motorized vehicles only in the summer and skating and snowshoeing in the winter (swimming not recommend).

RV 50amp plug available along driveway for an additional charge.

Nearest major grocery and liquor store is approx 30 min away - recommend pre-purchasing items prior to arrival.

Cardston cottage
Biggest difficulty is the location. Cottage park is in the middle of nowhere. Photos show pond and what look like walking areas. Pond is unuseable_leaches. Closest water and trails 10 minutes by car. Provicial parks nice but 45 min drive. National park okay but fires went through a few years ago, so most is still burnt. 35 minutes. Shopping 30 minutes. Also they expect ALOT of cleaning and there were ALoT of rles. Most sensible, but.... still. Should have better disclosure.

Very nice and convenient place to relax and visit Waterton. Covered patio was very nice as we were able to do BBQ and relax even when it was raining.

We had a basic requirement when we alway look for a place to stay that is we need a kitchen and our golden boys should be allowed. It turned out to be excellent place for us . Full house seems like made for us. Nice cozy bedrooms ,.plenty of living space and a big kitchen . Wasn't able to use the lake or the BBQ as it was just two day trip but next time , i am going to book atleast for a week. Stacey was great , i spoke to her before going there and she explained everything as well her welcome notes says everything. Had a confusion when we are checking out but Stacey's prompt reply helped us . I will recommend this to anyone who is looking to spend sometime out . Its close to Watertown, pincher creek and fort McLeod. I took a lot of pictures so i can post here. As the pictures on Vrbo is not great . What its show on Vrbo is 10% of what it actually looks like . We will book again and our golden boys love this place.thank you

Quaint and peaceful cottage
This cottage is in a quiet little space around a small pond. The layout is a bit quirky, but it was comfortable and met all our needs. It is very well stocked with anything you could want. It was nice to have access to a washer and dryer and also internet. It was about a 40 minute drive to Waterton Lakes. Nice sunset/sunrise views.

Better Than Expected
We have stayed at a few VRBO's over the years and this was one of the best. Definitely worthy of top marks. The pictures do not do it justice so upon arrival is was a pleasant surprise. Stacey was always very responsive to our messages and the place was incredibly clean and well organized. The location is good for those trying to get away from things while close enough to what you need- although, if you are spending a few days and plan on doing a bit of driving, be sure to fill up in Pincher Creek or Fort MacLeod on your way there as there are NO gas stations outside of 1 in the Waterton Lake Townsite from what I could tell. Waterton Lake is definitely a real gem with plenty of mother nature to take in- it is just beautiful. The pond this residence backs onto certainly works for a leisurely canoe or kayak if there is no wind. When things are calm it makes for a very peaceful for an evening sunset kayak- launching right from the backyard. We'll be booking this place again for sure.
