Our trip required chains to come over Carson pass which we were not prepared for and it took us a lot longer to get to the hotel. But the woman at the front desk was super accommodating and left us a key so that we could get there anytime after our trek and all I had to do was visit her in the morning at the front desk too check out. She was super nice and super commentating. Very grateful for that. Room had wonderful heaters and all the right places and a wonderful bathtub and shower. Very warm and cozy. We had a great stay and sleep.

Sink faucet was extremely hard to use and water was very dirty. We didn't trust the showers. Felt unclean. Sliding glass door had only a very small bolt added to it since original mechanism had failed. Front door did not feel safely shut. We entered a hot room since heater was left on. Way too expensive for what we got. No snacks or food. Scenery was very nice with little stream but just a gross place overall. Needs massive upgrades.

The double lock door on front door don’t work. No air vent in the bath room. Room where we at for the night need upgrade like the back sliding door the lock won’t work but they put a mickey mouse lock which will be hard to use if you have a hand problem. The staff seems very nice and friendly. For the price without bfast is not worth it.

More than a decent hotel
My expectations were met when I checked into this Hotel. This is a pretty good hotel in the middle of nowhere. One thing that surprised me was the additional room with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. What more do you expect from a Lodge. Just one point though - the rent wasn't cheap
