The Spa at Desert Springs, the on-site 47-room spa, features men's and women's relaxation lounges, private lockers, VIP suites, and aromatic hammam steam chamber. The facility provides views of Desert Springs' golf fairways which are surrounded by lakes and mountains.

The porte-cochere has exterior columns and a wall enriched with a stone façade, enhanced exterior water features, and a Brazilian teak-wood ceiling.
The resort offers a conference center with 21,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space across 33 rooms. Audiovisual equipment and support is available. The resort offers 884 guestrooms in two buildings of four and eight stories. The eight-story building features an atrium lobby with a 60-foot bar with a backdrop of cascading water. Guestrooms feature signature bedding: Thick mattress, separate pillowtop, down comforter with white cover, triple sheeting with 300-thread-count sheets, extra pillows, and a decorative throw and pillow sham. Rooms also include two-chair desk and dining tables, and reading chair/ottomans or sofas. Decor includes crown molding and walnut-colored furniture. Lakeview Restaurant - Casual restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Serving comfort food with dining choices including “mighty meatloaf,” rotisserie chicken, slow-roasted baby ribs, as well as sandwiches, salads, and homemade soups.
Mikado - Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar. Open for Dinner. Knife-twirling chefs chop, juggle, and joke, while using fire and steam to prepare steak, chicken and seafood entrees accompanied by vegetables and exotic sauces. East meets west at the sushi bar, which offers fresh foods and Japanese garden views.
The Lobby Bar & Sushi Bar - Sushi Bar is open afternoon and evening. The Lobby Bar is open afternoon to late evening, serving an assortment of flat bread pizza and cheeses.
The Oasis Bar & Grille - Pool bar open mid-morning to early evening for light meals.

Costas Nightclub - Disco open to late night on weekends. (Open other days, depending on resort occupancy.) DJ music or live band.
Sand Trap & Wedge - Offering lunch and snack items. Guests may order at tee-off at the 18th hole for pickup at Sand Trap & Wedge at the end of the round of golf.
Recreation
JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is home to two championship 18-hole, Ted Robinson-designed golf courses—the Palm and Valley courses—as well as an 18-hole putting course. Golf clinics (surcharge) and a pro shop are available and golf carts have onboard computers displaying graphic layouts of each hole. The lawn-and-tennis club provides 20 clay, grass, and hard-surface courts. Basketball courts, lawn croquet, bicycle rentals, and organized jogging are among other activities. Tennis clinics (surcharge) are also available.
The Spa at Desert Springs, the on-site 28-room full-service spa, offers private treatment rooms with individualized music and temperature controls, and a full roster of services including massage, scrubs, wraps, anti-aging, facials, waxing, and beauty treatments. Guests may purchase day passes to use the spa facilities.
Five additional outdoor swimming pools, three spa tubs, a fitness room with cardio-vascular equipment, and a children's activity center (surcharge) are also on site. Numerous other championship golf courses are located in the Coachella Valley. The surrounding desert and mountains are popular for hiking, cycling, hot air ballooning, and horse riding. The hotel concierge can assist with these and other activities.

“Great Hotel”
Another great stay at the resort. Everything was the typical great quality. Only improvement would be to clean the pool overnight. In the morning it was pretty dirty....
“Best hotel in Palm Springs!”
I absolutely will not stay anywhere else when I go to palm springs. No other hotel has the type of friendly service and pool which is why we would go to palm springs in the first place. I would definitely recommend them. There is pool side service so you can order food and drinks while you hang out which is very convenient.
“Will return!”
This resort is BEAUTIFUL! The rooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. The pools were great. It gets very crowded on Saturdays but the other days were fine. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We would love to go back.
“Really nice time in the desert”
This is a very nice hotel, recently renovated. Comfy rooms, pretty spacious, with excellent bathroom. Balcony nice place for mprning coffee. Palm Desert is lovely, close to the San jacinto mtns. Shops were a disappointment, an the location, although lovely, is a little bit of a drive from other amenities.
“Impressive”
Beautiful resort with impressive grounds, lobby, and pool area. You really don't have to leave the resort once you arrive; It's all there, shopping, dining, golfing, and sunbathing; I even spotted several motion picture stars sitting at the Starbucks which is conviently located off the lobby. The grounds are home to Swans, flamingo's. ducks, and geese. Occassionally the "ducks" take a dip in the pool; although they don't stay long.

We got such a steal on our stay with the golf package and they upgraded our room too!

A wonderful hotel, that has everything you need to relax. Located on a lush piece of real estate in Desert Springs, this hotel has Starbucks inside - 3 pools that are nice and comfortable - though not too deep strangely enough, and a couple of places to eat and drink. Most will really like this place.

This hotel was very nice and I want to go back. Anything, you need is in than hotel. Very cool pool side and great night life
“Fun Family Get-away”
We were upgraded to this hotel due to an expedia error and we were thrilled. Beatiful resort with awesome amenities. A little annoying that you can't take your own food/drink into the pool areas. The prices are atrocious at the poolside cafe.
