"Beautiful historical hotel with nicely appointed rooms and comfortable linens. There was no microwave or refrigerator in our room which I neglected to notice when I made the reservation. The room had a balcony and it was lovely to sit outside above the hustle and bustle on the street and enjoy a glass on wine before dinner! It was quiet inside the room; I never heard other guests or traffic outside. The only drawback was that there were no handrails or towel bars in the bathroom. "

Beautiful lobby and bar/restaurant frame the original bank vault that is a true work of art. Rooms are large and comfortable and decorated consistent with the period architecture. Copper door to the room truly stunning. Friendly and helpful staff and good value for what you get. Highly recommended when staying in Roanoke. "
