"I will definitely be returning to this hotel, it is marked as a 3 star, but honestly you will feel as though you’re in a 4 star hotel. Amazing facilities, staff are amazing (I cannot fault anyone, so thank you all - especially the 2 gents in the evenings, they were super helpful and friendly, I sadly didn’t get their names but they were working on Tues&Wed night this week). The wifi has been upgraded and is now descent (about 180 Mbps for download). Staff is very polite and welcoming. "The Hotel Splendid is in a very nice area in Lapad. The grounds are very well maintained and have beautiful views of the bay. The bus stop to Dubrovnik old town is just across the street and bus #4 runs every 15/20 minutes. The breakfast was plentiful. The room we stayed on the first floor was very small. It is a quick walk from the Promenade with several restaurants to choose from.When we come back to Dubrovnik we most likely will stay there again. We might pick a better room option. "

Great location and Exceptional front desk clerks
"The location of the hotel is excellent just steps from the beach in Lapad. The staff at the front desk were all very helpful and knowledgeable. On September 22, 2023, which was our first night, the front desk clerk, for which we can’t remember her name, was exceptional and went out of her way to help us. It was her last day and last hour working as she was going back to university. She helped us get an Uber ride to take us to the marina. She was truly lovely and kind up to the last minute she worked. This is very telling of what a wonderful character she has. We spent two separate nights here a week apart. The first night we had a hotel room that was smaller and the bathroom was teensy tiny. The second night we spent there a week later, we had a much bigger room and a much bigger bathroom. Both had balconies with great views."
