"Lovely condo with gorgeous ocean view on the top floor! This place had everything we could possibly need to enjoy our vacation, including fins, googles and beach towels. The condo decor was so tasteful and tropical, loved that. Nothing felt cheap, very nice comfortable bed and linens. For the price and the great location right across from the king Kamehameha resort, this was a real bargain. Would be happy to return! "It was advertised as a thousand square foot with one bedroom and it ended up being a studio that was about 500 ft² but it had a nice little kitchen area and it was close to the beach but that was kind of noisy with all the doors and windows open and there was no air conditioning so we had to keep the windows and doors open. close to the beach"

"This hotel is like a huge one bedroom apartment! One and half bathroom, large living room and bedroom. Fully stocked kitchen with dishes, full size fridge and stove. They is a washer and dryer in closet too.I do recommend you have a car but some tour bus will pick you up right outside your room. There are a couple pools too."

"The Big Island Retreat is a lovely property located minutes on foot to one of the best snorkeling beaches on Big Island. We stayed in the Ocean view room which was over 2 floors. The view from the bedroom is lovely. The rooms are quite small with little storage. The bed was only a double and very high off the floor making getting into it really hard. The bathroom is not totally enclosed and has no basin as the kitchen sink is just outside. Although there was nobody staying in the rooms...

"This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts. "

"Excellent property, and wonderful, helpful staff. We had an ocean front room, which was amazing. The pool is great for kids and adults alike. The property is also located a little away from the busy part of Ali’i drive, which makes it great to relax at the end of the day after a day full of activities but is conveniently located near beaches and grocery/convenient stores. I highly recommend the property to anyone planning a trip to Kona."

"Everything was great about the property. It's bigger than we expected. Big kitchen and living room. Great view on the patio/deck. The fees do add up to be a lot , but we knew about them prior to booking and just included them in the cost per night when budgeting. It's a little far away from kailua, but with the full kitchen next time we will do a few meals at the resort "
