Gourmet vegan food that’s so good, you’ll forget you’re eating vegan. I usually go for one of their four fancy burgers. All the yummy sauces and cheeses are vegan but totally fooled me. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, and the chef is so good they have a cookbook. Plum also has a food truck that pops up around town and is a great healthy lunch option.

What looks like an ordinary corner convenience store is actually the best place to get a poke bowl in Seattle. Fresh spicy tuna with rice and all the fixings (avocado is a must). You can also get a sushi roll, which is a massive roll wrapped in paper and cut in half, kind of like a deli wrap. You might see a line out the door, but it moves pretty fast since the menu is so simple.

THE place to get fresh juice and wholesome smoothies in Seattle. Known for their beverages, but also serve salads, wraps and breakfast sandwiches. I love the fresh interior with lots of natural light and beautiful wall decor filled with plants. The atmosphere is bright and will make you want to stick around and whip out your phone for an instagram. The cafe is located in a great walkable area of Capitol Hill. Grab a juice and do some window-shopping in nearby shops.

Fresh, local, organic cafe with a neighborhood feel and a large communal table in the middle. They serve creative salads and yummy bowls layered with good stuff. You can also get a sandwich, soup, juice and kombucha. The interior is homey and has beautiful light fixtures and big windows.

Seattle has a ton of good Asian food, and Vietnamese really hits the spot when you’re craving something fresh and flavorful, and Tamarind Tree is probably the best Vietnamese spot. Good thing it’s big. I haven’t tried much Vietnamese food because I always get the same thing—a chicken vermicelli bowl that’s loaded up with fresh veggies and bean sprouts. I’m sharing with someone, some prawn spring rolls to start. There’s a dreamy enclosed courtyard covered in ivy and greens if you’re dining in the summertime.
