Nakum is Maya City deep in the Jungles of Peten with monumental architecture, Palaces and Temples on top of other limestone platforms. Most still home to a large number of animals since they are covered under vegetation.
The first part of the trip is paved road but at Yaxha you change to a 4x4 Vehicles which are the only ones that could go through the forest trails that get very muddy during the rainy season - all great ingredients to make the journey a bit more exciting and adventureous.
On our way back we visit Yaxha maya site that's on the the lake side. We climb structures like the Pyramid of Mayor Astronomic centre and the Temple of the Red Hands where we wait for the sun to set behind the lake and mountains.
At 6:30pm approximately we drive back to Flores which should be one hour and half.
