Dive into your own aquatic adventure at the waterfront oasis of Xel-Há Park. Get up-close with tropical fish on a snorkelling adventure, explore the Yucatan jungle, or take a leap of faith into a deep blue cenote as you sample the park's 20 different activities, all framed by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.

Start your day in the lagoon, where you can don a snorkel and mask to look for the bright yellow stripes of Angelfish or the graceful strokes of a sea turtle. With over 90 species of marine life, there's plenty to see below the surface.

Afterward, explore freshwater mangrove tunnels, float along the park's quiet river, or go for a dip in the covered Mayan Cave cenote—an enchanting natural cavernous pool. For a more thrilling experience, make your way to the Stone of Courage. Rising 15 feet (5 metre) above the water, it’s the perfect perch to test your mettle with a courageous leap into the lagoon.

Consider a walk through the park's thick jungle, which boasts more than 220 species of plants and 100 varieties of birds, and then head back to the park's centre to tuck into traditional Mexican cuisine, followed by a quiet snooze in one of the park's waterside hammocks. It's the perfect way to end your day in this exciting slice of the Yucatan.

The scenery was beautiful. However if you do ride the water slide there are two options one is fast and one is slower. The fast option is extremely fast, I did not realize how fast it would be towards the end and it scared the hell out of me. It is unlimited snorkeling and the river is quite long and can be exhausting, so remember to take breaks in between and reapply sunscreen as often as you can, I got a pretty bad sunburn. They provide free towels and lockers which is great. They also provide you with a bracelet that has a barcode on it and you can scan the barcode where they have stationary cameras that are strategically located throughout the park. The price of the pictures depend on how many people are in your group, however it is one flat rate for all your pictures if you buy the digital option which is not bad. Another great thing is that there are a few restaurants and it is all you can eat food and drink that is included, but they can get a bit crowded depending on the time
