Activity itinerary

Deadman's Island (Pass by)
Learn about Deadman's Island's rich history! From an Indigenous burial ground, to an immigrant burial ground, to a military base, a lot has happened here.
Totem Poles
  • 20m
Unique to the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest, the Totem Poles are Vancouver's hottest attraction. Learn about the history and techniques that led us to having these amazing works of art.
Nine O"Clock Gun
  • 5m
The Nine O'Clock Gun is one of the oldest things in Vancouver. Learn how it got here and how it came to ring out every night at 9pm. Unless you are doing the route at night, you won't see it go off, but you can watch from Coal Harbour while enjoying a meal or a drink after the route.
Brockton Point Lighthouse (Pass by)
The Burrard Inlet extends for quite a ways inland, at that makes the current here very strong. Find out why one of the first things to be built was a lighthouse.
Girl In A Wetsuit
  • 5m
Only slightly ripped off from The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, our Girl In a Wetsuit has been resting on this rock for over 50 years! It's also a great place to check out the tides.
Lions Gate Bridge (Pass by)
One of the most recognisable features of the Vancouver skyline, the Lions Gate Bridge has quite in interesting history. Our route passes right under the bridge so you can check out the architecture, and see the animals that call the bridge home.
Prospect Point Lookout
  • 10m
You'll earn your ice cream treat when you climb to highest point in Stanley Park. The views are worth it! You can also skip this stop by sticking to the seawall trail, if uphill climbs aren't your thing.
Siwash Rock
  • 5m
Check out one of the most iconic natural landmarks in the Vancouver area.
Third Beach (Pass by)
Third Beach started as a military installation, but now boasts a beautiful sandy beach that often has a drum circle.
Second Beach (Pass by)
This lovely park, beach and picnic area is actually the result of logging in the Stanley Park forest. Stop for a recharge at the concession stand.
Lost Lagoon (Pass by)
Lost Lagoon used to connect to Coal Harbour. It was called Lost because it would disappear when the tide went out. Nowadays, Lost Lagoon is fresh water due to the road cutting it off from the ocean.
Malkin Bowl (Pass by)
Check out one of the most unique venues in Vancouver. They've been running Theatre Under The Stars here since the 1940s.
Stanley Park Pavilion (Pass by)
Check out this amazing wedding venue and rock garden. Also a good bathroom break.
Vancouver Aquarium
  • 3h
  • Admission ticket not included
Officially, the route doesn't go into the Aquarium, but if you plan enough time, you can pop in for a few hours and continue the route after. It's an amazing aquarium with a focus on sustainability and ethical treatment of animals.
Stanley Park Railway
  • 40m
  • Admission ticket not included
Hop on the Mini Railway for a spin around Stanley Park that will delight train lovers of all ages. The Parks Board had to become a federal railway company to build the railway, and we are sure glad they did.
Beaver Lake
  • 20m
An oasis of wilderness in the middle of the city, Beaver Lake is a great spot for animal watching.
Stanley Park Rose Garden
  • 10m
Over one hundred years old, this rose garden boasts over 3500 rose bushes. Many of them are hybrids designed to bloom throughout the year, but the best time to see it is the summer.
