The audio guide app link will be sent with tickets as well. Once you are inside the building, you have unlimited time to stay. The Basilica Cistern is basically a significant part of the infrastructure of ancient Istanbul as Constantinopolis which was the imperial capital of Eastern Roman Empire. In other words, along with a serious foundational buildings like its neighbouring Hagia Sophia. So was made the "Nea Roma", the New Rome, as the centre of the Roman Empire at the time of Constantine the Great.
