Skip-the-Line: Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Ticket

by Weekend in Italy Non-refundable No booking or credit card fees
Price Not Available

Travel back to an era of violence and grandeur at the Colosseum, a symbol of the strength of the Roman Empire. Bypass the lines to save time, and then imagine what life was like in the Rome of 80 AD as you roam the once-bustling Forum and the palatial ruins atop Palatine Hill.

Your journey through time begins outside the ruined but still-magnificent Colosseum, whose massive girth and towering height almost make the lines to get in seem small. Skip right past the crowds to head straight inside, and then wander the galleries and arcades of the amphitheatre, imagining the roar of 50,000 spectators as swords clashed, animals gnashed their teeth, and epic gladiator battles unfolded before their eyes.

From the Colosseum, make your way to the Palatine Museum. Study archaeological treasures, toppled sculptures, and millennia-old artefacts uncovered from the ground right where you stand, and learn about the history of Palatine Hill, believed to be the birthplace of Rome. Then, get a sense for daily life as a citizen of the empire at the Roman Forum, the once-bustling hub of urban life and the heart of the ancient city. At your own pace, walk among the columns and pillars of long-crumbled government buildings, well-preserved temples, and the roads and buildings that once served as gathering places for shopping, politics, and religious events.

Utter confusion, had prebooked skip the line tickets and downloaded and printed them, inly to be told when reachung the top of the queue that i had to go to reservations to "colllect" my "ticket", and long queue, to be told when reached the top that my time slot was 16.25, and not the 8.35am that was booked via expedia (so didnt really need to get up early, and couldve went somewhere else 1st thing instead of wasting 1 hour queuing). The quickest way, in my opinion, was the queue for just buying the ticket on the day, but then taking a chance to get in, as i was informed collesum was "fully booked" up to May, when i tried to change my time at reservations so save me coming back. All in all after all this was a great experience inside.

Times we changes as voucher time did not correspond with paperwork. Lovely venue and experience, however not worth skip the line. Even collesium staff said they had lots of problems with company.
