Activity itinerary

San Miguel de Allende
  • 30m
San Miguel de Allende, a colonial-era city in upper central Mexico, is known for its Spanish Baroque architecture, active arts scene, and cultural festivals. In the city's cobblestone historic centre is the neo-Gothic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, whose spectacular pink towers rise above the main square, El Jardín. Nearby is the church of Templo de San Francisco with a Churrigueresque façade from the 18th century.
Del Mirador
  • 20m
When arriving in San Miguel de Allende, the first obligatory stop is the Mirador de San Miguel. From there you can admire the splendour of the city, its streets, its beautiful churches and all the surroundings. This is the perfect place to be with your friends and/or partner and take spectacular photos with a beautiful sunset, with a city considered a World Heritage Site in the background. Surely you will be left with a great image to remember its beauty.
Lavaderos del Chorro
  • 20m
El Paseo del Chorro, this is one of the oldest streets in San Miguel which goes up to a spring called "El Chorro" hence the name of it. Walking along El Paseo del Chorro you will find the house of culture of San Miguel where painting, dance and music classes are currently taught. the laundries that today function as such. People still go to wash their clothes and the water comes out of the spring through pipes.
Instituto Allende Escuela de Arte y Español
  • 20m
Built in the 17th century, the Instituto Allende has a large main patio surrounded by majestic stone arches in the pure Mexican colonial style and its terrace gives us a spectacular view of the city centre and the parish of San Miguel Arcángel.
Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel
  • 30m
The most surprising attraction of San Miguel is undoubtedly its parish. A rosewood-colored Neo-Gothic church, unique in Mexico, built in the 17th century whose distinctive façade was added in the late 19th century by Zeferino Gutiérrez, an indigenous mason and self-taught architect. Seeing this church from the outside gives you the impression of being somewhere in Europe, its impressive towers will leave you speechless; inside you will notice that this church has different rooms where I personally could feel a vibe of peace and tranquility
Centro Cultural Ignacio Ramírez El Nigromante
  • 20m
The Ignacio Ramírez "El Nigromante" Cultural Centre is one of the most outstanding spaces to give birth to generations of art and culture. His building is a historical monument, where today various art exhibitions are presented. In this place, also known as Fine Arts, various workshops are also held.
Teatro Angela Peralta
  • 20m
Apart from the improvised theatres and tents that were in the Villa for the comedies and talks that are performed at parties by comedians from around the league, there was not, until the end of the 19th century, a proper theatre, as demanded by the already important city of San Miguel. It is in the month of April 1871 when the construction of the Theatre begins under the initiative of the Principal Administrator of Revenues Don Juan Mañón, with the help of the Municipal Treasury, and a meeting of shareholders of the main residents of the city.
Oratorio of San Felipe Neri
  • 20m
Much of the church's magnificence has been lost over the years, though remnants of its former grandeur can be found in the gilt frames and some beautiful artefacts: On an altar to the right of the corridor is an 18th-century painting by Michael Cabrera and one gallery contains fine work by other Old Masters. Thirty-three oil paintings represent the life of San Felipe in severe, rigid terms. The oratory has another beauty that visitors may describe as "eccentricity". Near the statue of San Martín de Porres there are humble offerings from the faithful who urgently need a miracle or who have been granted one. Most Mexican churches have this type of offerings, but the oratorio is distinguished thanks to them.
