Day 1:
We depart early from San Cristóbal de Las Casas to visit the stunning Agua Azul waterfalls, known for their vibrant turquoise-blue waters. Next, we head to the Misol-ha waterfall, a 35-meter-high cascade perfect for photography. We then travel to the Lacandon community of Lacanjá Chansayab and settle in at Campamento Río Lacanjá for the night. (Lunch and dinner included).
Day 2:
After breakfast, we journey to the community of Frontera Corozal, where we board a motorboat to navigate the Usumacinta River, Mexico's mightiest river, leading us to the ancient city of Yaxchilán. Surrounded by jungle, this archaeological site is renowned for its impressive temples and monuments. After exploring Yaxchilán, we return to camp and embark on a 2-hour jungle hike to the Moctunihá waterfalls for swimming and lunch. We spend another night at Campamento Río Lacanjá. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner included).
Day 3:
Our final day includes a visit to the Bonampak archaeological site, famous for its well-preserved murals from the Classic Maya period. We then proceed to Palenque, one of the most significant cities in the Maya world, to explore its majestic ruins. The tour concludes in Palenque, but return transport to San Cristóbal de las Casas is available upon request. (Breakfast included).
