Description

Get a first-hand look into the history, art and architecture of Rockefeller Center, one of New York City's most famous landmarks. Accompanied by insights from a seasoned guide, skip the entry line and stroll around the centre’s grounds as you explore its buildings, gardens, and significant works of art.

Delve into the details of Rockefeller Center’s past with an expert historian guiding the way. Don your own personal headset – transmitting audio through a closed circuit – and enjoy an uninterrupted account of the stories behind the Center's highlights.

Learn about John D. Rockefeller's vision for a cultural hub while witnessing his dream brought to life. View pieces such as Paul Manship's Prometheus and the sculptures of Isamu Noguchu and Michio Ihara. Greet the heroic statue Atlas, located mere steps from St. Patrick's Cathedral, and take in the impressive mural paintings of Jose Maria Sert and Frank Brangwyn in the GE Building.

Finally, stop at the Center's Channel Gardens, which offer seasonal floral decor and dramatic views of New York's iconic Tree in the winter.

Misleading information. We were not informed that we had to schedule for a particular tour time. Also, only a walking tour and visit to the top not included. Hence, we were not able to use our tickets and complete waste of £19.74 each (4 people and no senior discount). Our only disappointment of our New York visit. I wanted to do this because our school is considering visiting this during their next visit - would not recommend.

Misleading information. We were not informed that we had to schedule for a particular tour time. Only by a miracle were we able to have a private guide for our party of four. Very poor service from Expedia. Never again!

As they said, this was NOT the NBC Studios tour. It is a walking tour in and around the Rockefeller buildings discussing the history, art and significance of the design of the buildings. Thoroughly enjoyable and what we expected.
