Praça do Comércio (Pass by)
You will begin your tour using your Voicemap App here at the river viewpoint looking out at the Cais dos Colunas. Be sure to have rented your bicycle/scooter already and have your headphones ready! Once you start the tour, listen carefully for instructions and then follow the directions to the next point of interest!
Alfama (Pass by)
Next, you will head to Largo Jose Saramago on the edge of the old city of Alfama where you will spend some time learning about Lisbon's early history by the ancient Roman stairs, which are over 2000 years old!
Casa dos Bicos-Museu de Lisboa (Pass by)
Head to Casa dos Bicos, the house of points which was once covered in jewels and now contains the Lisbon Museum and the Jose Saramago foundation.
Praca Do Comercio (Pass by)
Next, to the grand commercial centre of Lisbon to hear the storey of the single most important event in Lisbon's history: the earthquake of 1755.
Cais do Sodré (Pass by)
Now, we're following the riverside bike path through this historic dock district, past the train station and along the water to the bridge!
Docas de Santo Amaro (Pass by)
Past the riverside bars and restaurants and to the bridge, this trendy area on the edge of Alcantara is a great place to stop and enjoy the river and bridge views.
MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (Pass by)
We pass by the visually-stunning MAAT with its rooftop terrace if you want to stop for a gorgeous view of the river.

Next, this epic limestone monument overlooking the Tejo to learn about Portugal's early explorers and navigators...
Torre de Belem (Pass by)
And still following the river, we arrive at the Tower of Belem, once a fortress and prison where you will hear the fascinating (and true!) storey of the Rhino and the King.
Pastéis de Belém (Pass by)
You will have time at the end of the tour to enjoy one of these delicious treats, but on this stop you will hear the storey behind the famous egg tart and the monks who came up with the secret recipe!
Church of Saint Mary of Bethlehem (Pass by)
Our final stop of the tour where you learn about the important final resting place of some of Portugal's most famous historical figures. Admission is free and you can head inside once your tour is over!
Mosteiro dos Jeronimos (Pass by)
Our final stop of the tour, the UNESCO world heritage site and former home of the Order of the Hieronymites. You can hear the storey of the final landing place where sailors and adventurers would be blessed before heading across unknown seas. Stop to enjoy the beautiful architecture from the outside or purchase a ticket to go in to the cloisters once the tour is over.
