Begin your experience by meeting your guides and fellow participants in Baixo Lapa. Get to know each other before starting the tour. Then, enjoy a game of “Discover Cachaça,” an interactive tasting with 3 shots of different Brazilian cachaças. Compare and try to identify the characteristics of each one as your guide shares fun facts about the drink and its importance to Brazilian culture.
After the tasting, embark on a cultural walk through Lapa. Visit the Selarón Steps, one of Rio de Janeiro's most famous landmarks, and take some time to explore and take photos. Pass by the Arcos da Lapa, an important historical and architectural symbol of the area. As you walk, learn about the region and the connection between Lapa's history, samba, music, and nightlife.
Throughout the night, visit 3 selected samba bars in the Lapa area. Experience different atmospheres and ways to enjoy music and nightlife, rather than staying in one place for the entire experience. At one of the bars, take a samba class led by your guides, who are certified professional dancers. The class is relaxed and designed for people who have never danced samba before. Learn some basic moves and try out samba before continuing to enjoy the music and the night.
After the samba bars, head to a local nightclub for the final part of the experience. The official end of the tour is around 2:00 AM, but you can continue to enjoy the night according to the club's rules and opening hours. As a souvenir of the experience, each participant receives a small gift from Rio de Janeiro at the end of the night.
