Description

Unlike any zoo you've ever seen, Nashville Zoo offers 90 developed acres of incredible, natural habitats featuring more than 300 species found around the world. In addition, this zoo has unique up-close encounters, a beautiful historic home and farm, a massive playground, shows, rides and much more.

Start your day inside the Zoo's beautiful Entry Village where you'll exchange your voucher for tickets. Once inside the zoo, you'll immediately be surrounded by nature as you discover macaws, gibbons, meerkats and more. From there, lose yourself inside the zoo's botanical wonderland including Bamboo Trail where you'll find clouded leopards, red pandas and lemurs. Step inside the Unseen New World to see reptiles, amphibians and fish or try finding a sloth hidden in a tropical aviary.

Be sure to see the zoo's newest exhibits including Sumatran tigers, Andean bears, spider monkeys and white rhinos. Get close and even touch several animals when you walk inside Kangaroo Kickabout, Lorikeet Landing, the Shell Station (tortoises) and Creature Encounters. You might be surprised to find animal habitats inside some of the bathrooms!

New in 2019, the zoo offers a chance to see the veterinary team in action at the HCA Healthcare Veterinary Center. Several viewing windows allow guests to see operations, routine check-ups, nursery care are more.

At the zoo's Historic Grassmere Home and Farm, guests can tour a home built in 1810 and occupied by 5 generations of one family. Learn how the zoo came to be, and tour the home's farm with cattle, sheep and barn owls.

Save some time to see the zoo's Wild Works Conservation Animal Show and play on the massive Jungle Gym playground. For a few extra bucks, you can ride the Wild Animal Carousel, Wilderness Express Train or the Soaring Eagle zip line that gives you a bird's eye view of the entire zoo.

Nashville Zoo also offers the Zoofari Cafe restaurant, Zawadi Market gift shop as well as concession and retail stands throughout the park.

I loved this zoo! It took about 2.5 hours to see everything and they even had a kangaroo part where you can pet and take pictures with a kangaroo.

The zoo was amazing oh, the best zoo I have ever been to. Perfect for the animals and for the patrons. I loved it. Expedia charged me more than the fair charge though I didn't like that

My family and I had a lot of fun at the Nashville Zoo! There were so many interesting and exotic animals. My favourite was the monkey; my niece liked the giraffes. Although the train wasn't running, we went on the Mary-Go-Round, which was a nice way to relax after waking all day. The ride costs $2/person. Food at the zoo cafe was expensive. It cost $45 for two adult women and a 5 year old girl. I recommend eating before you go, or bringing your own food. Overall, great experience !
