Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Challacancha – Soraypampa (Humantay Lagoon)

Walking Distance: Approximately 7 km Elevation Gain: From 3,800 m to 4,200 m Your adventure begins early, with a 4:00 am pickup from your Cusco hotel as the city sleeps. Watch the sunrise over the Andes during your scenic drive to Mollepata, where you’ll enjoy breakfast before continuing to Challacancha (3,800 m), the start of your trek. Hike for 5 hours to Soraypampa (3,900 m), marvelling at cascading rivers, verdant valleys, and the towering Salkantay Mountain. After a well-deserved lunch, ascend to the stunning Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m), where turquoise waters reflect snow-capped peaks. Return to camp for tea, dinner, and stargazing, resting in your cosy cabin as the Andes lull you to sleep

Embark on an afternoon excursion to the mesmerising Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m). The hike to the lagoon is a challenging ascent, but the reward is beyond words. Take time to absorb the tranquility, snap unforgettable photos, and perhaps partake in a traditional offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth), expressing gratitude for the natural splendour surrounding you. As evening approaches, we’ll descend back to our base camp.

The ascent is challenging but rewarded with breathtaking views of towering peaks and glaciers. At the summit, take part in a traditional Pachamama ceremony to honour Mother Earth. Descend into the lush cloud forest, where vibrant greenery and cascading rivers surround you. Enjoy a scenic lunch at Rayanniyoc (3,300 m) before continuing to Colpapampa (2,800 m). Relax at camp with optional hot showers and Wi-Fi (extra cost), then end the day with tea, dinner, and stargazing.

In the afternoon, unwind at the Cocalmayo Hot Springs (optional, extra cost), or for thrill-seekers, try an exciting zip-line experience (additional cost). Afterwards, head to our campsite in Santa Teresa, where you'll enjoy tea, dinner, and a Pisco Sour to celebrate another incredible day.
Day 4: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes

Our guide will share fascinating insights into Inca history. We then descend to Hidroeléctrica Station, passing waterfalls and lush landscapes, and enjoy lunch there. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic 3-hour walk along the train tracks to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m), reflecting on your journey. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax or explore the town before dinner. Your guide will prepare you for the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu.
