Begin the day with a drive up through the vibrant Oak Creek Canyon, passing from the red rocks of Sedona to the tall pine forests of Flagstaff. Stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post, perusing its excellent selection of souvenirs and authentic Native American arts and crafts.

Continue across the Navajo Nation, seeing wide-open views of the Painted Desert Cliffs, Elephant Feet, and many other scenes of the desert. Learn about the Navajo people's rich culture and history from your guide before arriving at the Tribal Park. Eat a delicious lunch overlooking the famous Monument Valley rock formations.

Take a guided tour along the valley floor—the highlight of the day—to see the most impressive views in the valley. Stop at John Ford Point for an expansive view of the entire area.
