Dating from the Middle Ages, Eze was built on top of a rocky outcrop. Walk along the cobbled streets, and reach the top of the village to find the castle ruins and the exotic garden. Enjoy the view from 1,400 feet (427 metres) high, and then head down to the Fragonard Perfume Factory (Perfumerie Fragonard).
Trophee d'Auguste (Pass by)
The village of La Turbie, also known as the 'Terrace of Monaco' because of its panoramic view of the principality. Admire the ruins of the Trophy of the Alps, a 164-foot-tall (50-meter) monument dedicated to Emperor Augustus, built circa 7 BC on the road that once linked Italy with Cimiez (the Roman quarter of Nice).
