What you can expect

Begin the experience on a walking tour before descending down a stairway to a dry cenote, where you will see some varieties of local plants. Learn about their use and importance and then enter the vault of the cenote where you will see some local bee varieties in their wild state. Don't worry though, these bees won't sting you as they do not have stings.

Later, walk down a path in the jungle where you will learn to identify the main plants used for the production of honey. Then, arrive at the Meliponario where you will learn about the process of honey as well as other products of the comena and their renowned health properties. You will even be able to open a beehive to observe the amazing architecture of the bees.

Then, you will have the chance to taste some of the honey and other products of the hive. And finally, visit the small store of honey and souvenirs and take a souvenir photo to remember the experience.
