Overview

I am a certified chef with 10 years of experience working in restaurants. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced cook, my goal is to provide hands-on instruction, useful tips, and a fun atmosphere where you can enjoy the process of cooking and tasting your own creations at home. I promise to describe Japanese seasonings in detail.

Shaving bonito flakes to make Japanese broth is an authentic technique that many Japanese people have not experienced. Japanese people love straight shrimp tempura, and I will teach you how to make perfectly crispy and straight shrimp and vegetable tempura using hidden techniques.

Vegetarians are welcome, and please let me know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. Japanese cuisine features a variety of delicious vegetable dishes!”

Activity itinerary

I’m Yuki from Japan, Osaka. Menu 1. Tempura - Don-Buri It means rice and tempura in the same dish. For Tempura Don first comes the yummy sauce. This is where I’ll show you my secret technique on how to make Tempura scrumsously crunchy. 2. Miso Soup Our class programme aims to create miso soup the most authentic and traditional way. It is achieved by carefully shaving the dried bonito fish using handcrafted shaving equipment. Something that most Japanese locals have never experienced before. By making through this method we ensure the miso soup is going to be fresh with real flavours. The cooking course will be taught on location at a historic beautiful Japanese-styled home dating back a century. You will be cooking among the elegant Japanese gardens. This area is very quiet and has a traditional atmosphere - you can also book to stay. I sometimes invite my local friends to my cooking class! After class, let’s have a chat together. We can exchange language, culture and fun time:)
